Tanoshimi set to stop releasing new volumes

Further enquries revealed the last volumes of several ongoing manga:

Negima: 16
Tsubasa: 14
School Rumble: 9
XXXHolic: 9

This is a huge blow to the UK manga market, as Tanoshimi had licenses to some very respectable titles. Volumes beyond the Tanoshimi run are available on import from Del Ray in the US.

This is bad news for a lot of people since a number will have been collecting the above titles. Thanks to Amazon and TBD, it'll still be possible to buy new volumes with ease but the spines will look messy with a combination of Tanoshimi and Del Rey logos, and the translation will likely differ.
 
To be fair, between Amazon and buying from Expos, I don't think I have any Tanoshimi mangas, and instead have a lot of Del Ray releases.
 
Same as Jimmeh all my manga that could have been Tanoshimi are Del Rey. Like how all my Tokyopop stuff are the US releases (iirc) due to how slow the UK releases are.
 
I kind of gave up after vol. 15 of Negima. I didn't mind waiting for Tanoshimi to bring it out, but there is a limit to my patience. I decided to fully go Del Ray afterwards, pretty much knowing Tanoshimi was slipping too far back.

Doesn't change the main layout though, so as a fan to the manga, I dont feel affected. Shame that UK manga has been caught in a snag though.
 
Wasn't Ghost Hunt tanoshimi? I got a free volume a while back to review. Does this mean no more ghost hunt... i know they hadn't exactly finished it.

Everything released by Tanoshimi in the UK was and still is being released by Del Rey in the US.
 
I do have there last volume of School Rumble(9), and have the Del Ray volumes after that, mind you, if they are only available for import, it doesn't make much sense as to why i picked them up instore, but there we go. To be honest, maybe because i had too much on my mind at the time, its only occurred to me now that they are Del Ray, hah. Its a shame though, i have to say, but its lucky that Del Ray have the two series i'm reading off those four(Negima and School Rumble), so it isn't as big an impact on me.

yeah i kinda got the same vibe, with waiting for school rumble, though being more of an anime person i cna just wait
