Remember those days when there wasn't much anime on UK TV? :) I guess it was only a matter of time until someone launched a Ghibli season; it would be better if FilmFour was a free channel but it's still cool that so many of Ghibli's classics will be on UK TV throughout January.

Also, I assume the films that are repeated will be the ones using the Japanese version.

Wow, this sounds cool! How much does it cost to watch? Does it work the same way as Box Office where you can pay per view or is it a monthly subscription thing?

Everybody seems to lump Castle of Cagliostro in as a Ghibli release these days. I guess it's simpler than saying "Studio Ghibli plus some other stuff Miyazaki did before Studio Ghibli was formed."

Yeah, Nausicaa isn't Ghibli either strictly speaking (although many of the staff involved with it continued to work togther with Ghibli)! As long as the films from Miyazaki, Takahata and co are getting on our screen it can only be a good thing. :)

It is brilliant to see them all being shown on a nationwide channel though - I sometimes wish I could get FilmFour because it shows some really geat stuff from time to time.

wow this is excellent news, I am quite tempted to subscribe to filmfour for that month so I can see it, plus it works out cheaper than buying the dvds.

Flipping heck, i never thought i'd see something like that, just a shame i don't have film four, but it's certainly the best incentive they've given me so far to get it, lol
