Not really, the Sonic Rush games are excellent, Sonic Rivals got good scores, as did The Secret Rings. None were classics by any means, but they all scored well.

Sonic is good, it puts a something totaly new into the game. People have always wanted him in the game. The more characters the better.

Where would be best to pre-order this from so i get it day of release?

Not really, the Sonic Rush games are excellent, Sonic Rivals got good scores, as did The Secret Rings. None were classics by any means, but they all scored well.

I'll agree on Sonic Rush, but Sonic Rivals? HELL NAW. Not played Secret Rings, but it DOES look decent, but still, that doesn't account for much since Sonic's games have been mostly terrible for the past five years. No, I'm not biased towards Sonic, I pretty much acknowledge his 2D games as amazing, and Sonic Adventure and SA2 were actually quite good... then it went all to hell for a while.

Like I say, the only two main games that were truly bad were Shadow and STH. Sonic Heroes could have been better, but it was still playable. The Sonic Adventure games could have had more Sonic, but I still love playing them!

...i wonder if this game is gonna get a crazy midnight launch event like halo 3 did....
that also reminds me, Nintendo should really look into doing special edition versions of their big titles...

Didn't play Ac!id? 2. BUT I didn't mind Acid 1 all to much, It takes a hellava lotta time to get into, But its a half decent game overall, IMO Of course.

all the acid games are hard,
despite having great graphics, card system and a decent story the slow pace of it made me stop like 75% into the game.
however, acid 2 was so addictive, i reached the last boss, and i still cannot beat it, its so hard...gah...
i must say, the soundtrack to acid 2 is awsome.

Out of curiosity, what does the success of the character's overall franchise have to do with his power or place in Super Smash Bros. Brawl? The aim of the game is not to launch a marketing campaign where they gather succesful franchises and whore them to the public. The objective here is to bring together as many well-known gaming icons as possible in one huge battle royale. Yes, maybe Sonic's games haven't been boner-worthy recently, but he is one of the world's most well-known videogame icons and will make a good addition to the game. The original Sonic games were sweet, I still play them on my Xbox Live Arcade. The latest ones? I pretend those don't exist, and hope some day Sonic Team will get their **** together. :]

To show if they're worthy of Brawl or not. Sonic basically didn't deserve it, but eh, whatever, still one more placement left for third party, if Megaman or Bomberman get it it's ALL good.

[On the subject of other Sonic characters, I'm thinking that there'll be a few assist trophy characters, and maybe one secret character, I'm thinking Super Sonic (as more than just a final smash), or maybe Shadow, though he sucks, he'd be an easy choice for the creators.

After re-watching the sonic introduction movie on the main website, and from the looks of it, Super Sonic will only appear as Sonics final smash, but then again it could be like Samus's final smash as she turns into Zero Suit Samus which looks to be a seperate character as well. But i'm betting we'll only see Super Sonic as a FS. If they were to add an extra sonic character i would go for either Knuckles or Metal Sonic though i seriously doubt they would include an extra sonic character.

Actually, SEGA seem to think right now that the Sonic X crew of Shadow, Rouge and Cream are the most famous. They're getting the most merchandising, at least. There was a Sonic X capsule toy collection, featuring Sonic, Amy, Rouge, Shadow and Chris. No Tails or Knuckles in sight. The whole Sonic X crap really annoys me.

I don't mind Shadow all to much, He was decent enough in SA2. Just his own game really ticked me of, Even StH has somewhat better handling than Shadow.

Also, Shadow just seems to be a roll off the 'dark' side of Sonic, Unlike the original happy Sonic. Although, Saying this I don't mind the attitude that the Sonic Team gave him, If sometimes annoying and all.

Lastly, Pl0x don't put Tails in. He is moar annoying than Amy Rose. 8)

Partly because I repeated my previous paragraph, and partly because it was common sense to begin with. My aim wasn't to enlighten you with something new though, it was to target the aimless Sonic hating. I hate those Sonic games just as much as you, except I don't see the point in hating Sonic being included in Brawl only based on his previous screw-ups. I just don't see the logic in it, seems like you're just being grumpy for the sake of being grumpy.

More like I don't want a character who's had his day in, but stupid 12 year old fan boys want him in anyway. Besides it's up to ME whether I act this way or not about Sonic being in there's no "logic" about it, unless you're trying to be all epic on the forums being all "Logic needs to be applied before you say such things." Not really. If you don't like it, too bad. =/
