to get out 48 characters of each sex, we need 20 more combatants to enter.

Now us just choosing our favourite characters would be boring and unfair, so the last 20 spots is up to you to decide

You may choose a maximum of 5 girls and 5 boys, feel free to choose your own, but if you see a character you like, vote for them, the more votes a character gets, the more chance they can qualify without having to go through the dreaded battle royal.

The only rules are that you may not use more than 1 character of the same sex from each show (so no choosing Asuka and Rei from Evangelion sorry but Rei and Shinji is fine) and that you must put the characters name and the show they're from in you list. After 5 days the polls will close and the list will be completed

I actually called this last night when i was speaking to ilmaestro about it. I predicted you'd go for Ayumu and he Hina. I decided to avoid Maria so it wasn't an all out Hayate no Gotoku battle ;p

Good taste. Also, I would have nominated Revy, but she was 7th place for me behind Kekko Kamen, with Priss in 8th. Those 3 got nominated so I'm happy. Riding Bean just missed out as my 6th choice for the men.
 
People are allowed to vote for the same characters as other people, to increase the likelihood that they will make it into the first round. So its fine in that respect.

How does that make it more likely? This isn't voting and one character has been mentioned twice. Besides, having more characters means more competition. Can you put that in the first post then because, yet again, the rules aren't made clear enough by Ryo.
 
I included Amelia because of this in the main post:
"feel free to choose your own, but if you see a character you like, vote for them, the more votes a character gets"

Otherwise I'd have easily picked a not mentioned one. There are actually a few other characters that have been said more than once in others posts. :p
 
i think this time we are trying to limit how many go through exactly, because the last one had a very large roster and lasted a good while, i think people where wanting it to end slightly quicker. As for that rule on nominations bit
