Redline dvd/blu-ray delayed....

Exactamundo, there are numerous reasons for things being delayed, many outside the UK distributor's control. It's not like they're doing it to be mean or something. It doesn't make business sense to piss off your customer base on purpose. Course some people will just use things like this as an excuse to stick with fan-subs and not support the industry.

On a lighter note I'm really looking forward to seeing this, especially as the AWO folks compared the experience to like seeing Akira for the first time!

EDIT: The dub not being done is a a valid excuse, as this is something that really needs a dub as it has the potential for mainstream success, and the industry badly needs one of them!

Why they don't just do what every US company does and not give dates to shops until the disks are actualy in production I still have no idea.
Seiously, they should not have dates for anything more than 2-3 months ahead of release.

No excuse for fansubs here Japaense is English subbed anyway.

it also doesn't make sence to insult the people who are doing the more costly/hard work of getting you a dub/master dvd made for you

seriously if i was a member of Bandai and i'd seen their twitter page i'd just leave Manga to do their own dubs and see how far they get that way.

that's the point i'm trying to get at, the moment "YOU" give a release date, it's "YOUR" Issue, not the person who's doing the work for you. Meaning it's "YOUR" responsiblity to fix it or apologise, not Bandai's

i mean honestly, you can all moan about me bashing Manga all you want but in the end aren't you guys just doing the same as me but to Bandai, who haven't even done anything wrong yet.

You lot were the first to rage about season 2 being Mono sound, what if the delay is to fix it?

Edit: see even Manga are finally admitting to being in the wrong

@lesterouge #Redline There's no point publicly announcing a date we can't keep. This way we r sure.

Even that doesn't prevent delays. Look at Media Blasters, Bandai, and lately even Funimation. They all set dates and subsequently push them back (sometimes repeatedly).

But I broadly agree that Manga should hold off on setting release dates as far in advance as they do. Delays can happen at various stages and it just annoys the customers.

Shame this got delayed. Saw this in the cinema recently and thought it was brilliant, best feature length anime I've seen in a while.
