Qur'an quoting anime incites Islamic religious anger

But at the end of the day, we have to differnate between many different kind of people.

But what I've noticed is that Muslims in the west are more sensitive to the issue that muslims in a islamic state?

Extremist however don't come from Asian Countries... They are basically people who were born into a westernised country, but raised up in eastern values way. I believe that creates an extremist.

There isn't one model. Iran is a theocracy where a lot of the people are quite moderate or even secular. Saudi Arabia is a theocracy where most of the people are very traditional some even more so than the government.

Not to generalise but radicalism among western muslims isn't a big problem other than in Britain. France is 10% muslim (generically) and they haven't had any terrorist attacks since the mid 90's.

Well clearly some do. Especially from Pakistan.

Not quite. Remember al-qaeda in Europe is like 50% made of converts. The people in it who are born muslims tended to be quite westernised before they became radicals. Some of them even remained fairly westernised after they became radical like the guy who assasinated the Northern Alliance leader two days before 9/11.

Chaos please be careful in the way you use the word "mate", in the UK the way you used it here is normally the precursor to a fight.

Not where i'm from mate :p
Sorry couldn't resist. Where i'm situated that word used in that term has nothing to do with fighting.

What?

Don't know about it where your from but saying "mate" is commonly said in the south.
The meaning is very liquidated, its like when growing up it was common to use the words "safe" and "respect" when greeting or leaving another person,

back on track, im tired with cultures using their religion when it suits.
take this into account....if the people in this instance hold their holy book so highly, in the quran it says that their not meant to drink or smoke.....However they do drink and they do smoke.

then theres another culture who are of a certain coloured skin who can say the word "nigga" (please note that is a quote and not me directly sayin the word...before anyone starts being all P.C)
however if a fair skinned person was to say that word then they'll be pulled up in court or simply beaten to a pulp in the hail of racism,

Political correctness is crap and isn't correct at all, its a means to keep the british citizens under thumb.
people are scared to speek up now-a-days. in fear of being prosecuted.
freedom of speech and opinions, their all reduntant now. theres "possitive discrimination" and "normal discrimination" so in other words, unless your persistant in your aspirations for wealth and knowledge your pretty much screwed when trying to get a job.

i'd move away if i could take all that i hold dear to me with me.

never been truer words "this country has gone to the dogs"

I always think of this when I see these sort of things.

"Islam is a peaceful religion, and we will kill anyone that says otherwise".

I'm not justifying them, but I think you're wrong mate.

Sorry, I've missed your post and if not for two post with it, I would have missed it altogether.

Sorry about that if I offended you. I think I know where you're coming from... There are several possibilities, but let's consider two:
"...I think you're wrong mate" said in an arrogant tone.
precursor to a fight, or "... I think you're wrong mate" said in a light hearted way, which was the on I meant on my post. Apologies if I gave the impression it was the first scenario.

It was just "mate" used at the end of a sentence suggesting I was wrong gave it a semi-aggressive tone. You do have to watch how you use certain greetings or words as some people are likely to turn around and and say they are not your “mateâ€

I could say the same for hardcore atheists. "OH NOES! SOMEONE TAUGHT CREATIONISM IN SCHOOL!" It may go against the curriculum, but damn, some people need to chill.

It depends whether it is taught in the context of religious theory or as scientific fact, the former being perfectly acceptable, but the latter being damn crazy.
Regardless of the context, my point still stands.

I think that all religious, especially Islam, need to realise that they do not have the right to not be offended. In fact, they need to take note of the tolerance the western world has for their customs, & be tolerant of our ways in return.
That's nice in theory, but in reality, it doesn't happen that way. Religious or not, someone is going to be offended. Of course this just adds fuel to the fire, and gives people ammo to be offensive on purpose.

Okay i have an idea......BURN EVERY HOLY BOOK AND WE SHALL ALL LIVE IN A UTOPIA WITHOUT RELIGION. then if we kill each other its simply because of the "you have what i want, im going to kill you for it" reason and not some moronic "i kill in the name of god" reason (not that it actually counts as a reason that is)

I think you'll find that it leads to a world of pirates. Of course, that's only if the saying is carried over to leg for a leg and hand for a hand.
