i beg all of you to get this when it comes out over here its one of the funniest animes and adv films has outdone themselves with the extras for it, behind the scenes footage so you can actually see what they all look like, plus the commetry will have you pissing yourself laughing
 
It looks a bit too weird for me, I wasn't a fan of the final Excel Saga "extreme" episode. Craziness is ok, but super craziness I'm not so sure :p .
 
trust me this is funny the random words and the way poemy talks is really funny. the first couple of minutes the word ingles becomes very funny when she kept saying it really fast
 
I thought Excel was crazy enough, this is unbelieveable stuff for only 60 minutes. Its completely warped and slightly perverted (similar to the last episode of the series). Like Excel, you can spot notable anime cliches (eg. Rayearth, Evangelion etc.). Its just so funny as well.

The commentary is immense, I regulary listen to ADV dubbed shows, so hearing them come together and take the mickey out of what they've just been shooting is cool. So is the Documentary.

If I had to make a Top 5 OAV list this would be No.1. No, really. Before the likes of FLCL, Bubblegum Crisis and Mezzo Forte.
 
Yeah it is great (great enough to make an avatar, maybe several off) But number 1? nah. Maybe of Comedy shows, at least its fighhting for number 1 with Azumanga in my list

BTW, Did anyone know that it got bannd in New Zealand? It fell under Child porn somehow.
 
I think its beacuse Poemy and Itsue are both like 10, and they not only get titillated (spanked, groped, fan serviced, self-enjoyment and tools), but sleep together as well. You musn't forget the hint at what happens to 3-yr old Hitomi towards the end as well, that moment was a mixture of humour and shock value, i mean that sort of thing isn't supposed to be anywhere near funny, is it? Especially in real life :?

You mean during that sex scene sequence? Where they show the various characters heads in bubbles with lots of moaning etc?

And yeah Nabeshin rules, in both this and Excel Saga.

Yeah, I mean that sequence. Yup Nabeshin's cool, and isn't he based on some kind of Lupin the 3rd character ? I think its cool that the Director actually characterizes himself in Excel Saga and Puni Puni Poemy (he actually voices him in the sub?) It's also good self-referential humour, the bouts that Puni/Excel have with the Director.

The director himself owns them clothes IIRC

And yeah he is based on Lupin, oh and he isnt in the orginal manga of Excel Saga
 
Why are we talking about Excel Saga, lol?

The mangas more raw imo. its like they super refined it for the anime. Then added Nabeshin and the "I give my permission for the Excel Saga manga to be turned into a etc" bits.
