Psychological Thriller Manga Museum Gets a Movie Adaptation

The psychological thriller manga <em>Museum</em> is getting a live-action adaptation and Keishi Ohtomo, the director of the recent live-action Rurouni films, has been named as the man in the director&rsquo;s chair. The lead actor has already been announced and it is Shun Oguri who is soon to be seen on screen in Takashi Miike&rsquo;s adaptation of <em>Terra Formars</em>.



The story involves police detective Hisashi Sawamura who is drafted into an investigation of a serial-killer who wears a frog mask and strikes only on rainy days. Sawamura&rsquo;s case puts his own family in danger...

The manga is the creation of Ryousuke Tomoe and it was serialised in Kodansha&rsquo;s <em>Young Magazine</em> between 2013 and 2014. It has been collected into three volumes.
