PSN Error 8001050F

Yeah, this sucks. I ran home to get the PlayStation before my brother and the PSN is having issues. It's odd its only affecting the older models and the thing I hate the most about this is... I don't care about Trophies. Who cares about trophies for an interactive bloody movie? Nobody, that's who.

I knew I should have paid more attention when I saw it was in the news on my phone earlier. Ugh.
 
I know man it's pissing me off. I don't see the point in trophies for Heavy Rain either, you don't do anything that means you deserve a trophy or something.

Ah well. Hope this is sorted soon.

My brother just turned his PS3 on tonight to set up the Wifi for it, I forgot to tell him and then he raged because he couldn't go on PSN... I couldn't make my account, either.

I have both models and my Silm still works even though I'm the only one online..... from my friends list that is.

Most think it will be back to normal tonight 00:00am since the system will think it's the 1st of March.
 
I turned mine on and it hasn't exploded or harmed anything. I believe you're just not meant to try playing any games with an online feature or trophies. I'm playing FFXI so it's not a problem so far. Daren't play XIII though :(

True especially because any xbox users who think this gives them one up on PS3 users is very mistaken. The Xbox is last gen, and anyone who says Xbox but means Xbox 360 is mistaken. :p

It's a problem with the internal clock, entirely unrelated to PSN. It's just the bug is, you can't get onto PSN.

I've no idea how they'll solve this exactly, but they say tommorow it will be fixed.
 
There is apparently a couple of ways you can sort it. One of which is removing the battery for the BIOs clock. However that involves opening up the PS3, which isn't exactly advised. Best option is just to wait really. I expect it might be an idea to see what its like at about midnight, but if it hasn't sorted itself out, best to wait for Sony to release whatever it is they have planned.
 
Well, it's gone midnight now, so it may well work (So some believe. I cant see it going back to the correct date though myself. Too late to test it).
