Well there is only 23 votes the now and over half would like anime and action. Seems good so far. I hope the Americans just don't vote on anything stupid. Do you know what would be good if they launched a Cartoon Network/adult swim on Freeview. The space is limited on Freeview so the rules are less restrictive than Sky/Virgin.
 
After posting this on the Neomag forum it's now on to 55 votes and over 60% want more anime. However we really need more votes lol.
 
As much as I possibly can lol. I was hoping to get more than 55 votes though but so far so good. I still have'nt put it on the anime UK forum because I can't seem to register I was wondering if anyone could do that for me?
 
What will happen if anime does win does that mean that they will be deffinatly showing anime or that their going to think about it? Also why didnt they put anime on it straight away?
 
I could'nt tell you. Though when adult swim where running competitions on Bravo they were giving away anime DVD's as prizes and that was early on. However I believe they would try there own stuff first and if that was succesful anime would become a part of the adult swim line up. Perfect Hair Forever which was a anime parody aired on adult swim here and so has Robot Chicken both of which have an affectionate parody of anime style.

It maybe difficult for adult swim here to buy an anime series which all fans would like. I don't think you can blame the downfall of CNX on anime as it would be unfair as many adult swim series on that are also on adult swim here now. I mean only look the adult swim Bravo forums to look at the demand for anime it consistently is the hottest topic on the boards. So I think Bravo or Turner have decided to give into pressure and listen.
 
I don't actually know why it was never a part of the original line up, but I would hazzard a guess because they wanted to see how there own stuff would do first. I honestly believe that the success of adult swim UK actually hinders on the descision to show anime or not. I was regulary visting anime sites to read up news of adult swim coming to the UK, not for the anime but the comedy however after actually watching some of the anime in America I got hooked.

As a fan of adult swim, I feel that anime fans have been cheated as they were one of the main factors for adult swim coming to the UK. In my opinion if adult swim were to show even one anime series I'm sure they would see it perform better. Don't listen to some of the guys on the Bravo board they seem to be able to criticise something they know nothing about (one of them was unaware there was comedy anime yet still knew enough to deem it crap).

This is why this poll is a great oppurtunity for real fans of adult swim to have there voice heard. I'm not saying fans of the excellent ATHF, Harvey Birdman and the countless other shows aren't real fans but the stark truth is that anime in the UK is far bigger than the fanbases of these brilliant shows. I don't want to see adult swim dissapear as that would be utter tragedy and missed oppurtunity to get something real special here in the UK.
