Poll on www.adultswim.co.uk

Great Teacher
On the www.adultswim.co.uk forums there is a poll asking for viewers and suscribers views on adult swim in the UK. The poll has many options such as more British based comedy, A free fix service and most interestingly an action/anime block. You will need to register for the forum (it's free so don't worry) to vote on the subjects. I must say this is good oppurtunity to bring more anime to the UK.

So hop on to the site and get voting.

Can someone put this on some other UK based anime forums? Please get the word across because this a great chace to have an American style [adult swim]!

I just went on there and addin in my vote, and i'd like to announce that anime is the highest voted at 50% and second in rank is british comedy which is only 17%, so looks like we could get lucky with adult swim to follow the tradition like the american Adult Swim? Heres hoping!

Who is in charge of editing the news? I wonder if this could go on the front page attract peoples attention. Could anyone help me?

You do know that Bravo is owned by Turner Broadcasting, same as CN and Boomerang? If they were going to get any more anime, they would have long time ago.

No there not Bravo is owned by Virgin Media.
They must have just sold it then. Didn't Virgin just buy Toonami too? No wait that was Channel 5.

Okay Bravo belongs to Branson now, but that Adult Swim.co.uk site belongs to Turner Broadcasting still.

So nobody cares for anime, how many members does this board have? I just want to know how big the anime market in the UK is. If adult swim UK is asking if people want anime you need to remember this is'nt the Bravo forum it's more direct to the creators try www.adultswim.co.uk.

You also have to remember that the UK anime market is huge, but not everyone uses the forums and not everyone has sky or whatever to watch adultswim.

If anime is on people will watch it, if the selection is good. That is what Adultswim need to do. If they managed to get one of the more popular anime's on thier channel thier viewing figures would go up.

People will support anime in anyway they can, people have to understand that.

Mate, we all here love our anime. I personally have had e-mails with Turner Broadcasting's Programmes and Acquisitions manager 4 years ago about why we here in the UK can't have the same titles here as in the States. I was told that "the UK market is a completely seperate market and so everything has to be renegotiated again for here. So just because a title is airing on Toonami US (this was before AS came into exisatance) doesn't mean that it will automatically air on Toonami UK. This means we would have to pay twice for the same expensive broadcasting rights."
So Turner already know how much, and how many anime fans want more anime. If you were ever on the Toonami forums in the past you'd know that too. But where has it ever got us? Less, not more, so don't be too surprised if you get fobbed off too. You've been warned.

Funny that don't Sky do that with the Simpsons (Fox/News corp) and don't they do that with adult swim programmes. Maybe Turner have had a change of heart. How do we know if they have seen Fullmetal Alchemist rating on Rapture and thought "this might work".

You're forgetting about their experience with CNX. If that didn't show them how popular anime was, they must have been autistic. Don't get me wrong. Go for it, by all means, but unless Turner Broadcasting UK has had a complete changeover of personel in every department recently, don't get your hopes up.
