Pick your poison...

Don't Drink at all actually, hate the idea of even doing so as well, but thats down to knowing too many in my family that have suffered from it, so i keep well away from it.
I don't get the whole thing with drink anyway, people think its the only way to have a good time, yet i've never had to have a drink to have a good time. =/

Presumption?

Yes, some people do drink just for the effect. In my opinion, if that's your aim, theres much better things you could be spending your cash on.

On the other hand, some people (myself included) actually like the taste of the alcohol in question, and will drink it for that very reason.

:thumb: the taste is the real reason people should drink,

I really don't drink very much or very often, but when I do it tends to be just 1 or 2 bottles of nice Real Ale in front of the TV or with friends. Also a nice long ice cold Gin and Tonic on a hot summers day is refreshing.

Drinking out is just so expensice though I would rather buy something to keep with the money, and also taxis cost the earth nowadays I would rather drive and have my friends buy me soft drinks all night to take them home.

Saturday was the last time I drank any real amount for as long as I can remember and all I had was a glass of Sharaz a couple of Vodka and Coke and a couple of Vodka and Red Bull (tigger juice).

Anyone here tasted Duvel?

I had two earlier on, and my f*cking god it's the best **** I've ever tasted.
The Belgian stuff? If you enjoy that I'd also recommend Kwak (it's all about the mini yard glass it's served in), Delirium Tremens and my personal fave Chimay blue label.

Yep, the Belgian stuff. I've passed it, and others (forget the names) dozens of times, and only decided to have a go recently.

I'll give the others a go sometime too.

Whiskey, cider, beer, lager, ale, port, wine, cognac, absinthe or basically anything that isn't vodka. That ****'s disgusting.

Newcastle Brown Ale
Newcastle Brown Ale is strong?
Perhaps not, but it sure as hell ain't a lager.
Indeed. The thing is I much prefer lager with my meals.

Beer - Keo (cypriot beer) - never had a hangover no matter how much of this stuff I have drank

Shot - Tequilla - had so many good nights thanks to this drink

I'll drink anything apart from Gin and 'alcopops'

On a night out I'll stick to lager with maybe the ocassional shot of Sambuca (mmm).

I enjoy wine too, but I'd never buy it in a pub its just not practical hehe.
I'm definately a lager person. My current favs atm are -

Heineken
Corona
Stella Artois
Budvar
Brahma (its got a really nice fresh and clean taste)
Asahi (didn't like the dryness at first but I tried it again afew years later, Its pretty god damn nice)

but a lot of lager is lager, apart from Carlsberg (green label one) YUCK.

People who say they drink for the taste alone are lying. For me its a 50/50 thing. I love the taste of beer and I like its effects in moderation of course.

I'm a bit more lenient to alchohol than i was, but i still have a pretty strong hatred for the stuff. I will have one cider while i'm out, possibly Kopparberg or magners, but nothing else after that. I won't go near spirits, beers or lagers.

Kopparberg is a nice tipple, but I'll go for something soft in most every case. Somehow I find Magners tends to taste like wet dust...

cant beat a good pint of cider!

 bet i could.

On a usual friday night i start off with staropbramen (russian beer thats £3 a bottle but bloody good stuff, damn import taxes tho :/ )
then fosters, carlsberg or any sort of lager that the place were in is selling....friday nights is quid a drink night in yates so usually its fosters.
then corkys shots start coming out after 4-5 pints. their always a great little add to the night. after a few more beers me and simon usually start shouting for yeagarbombs :p

if you haven't had one yet....your missing out!

what you'll need;
a pint glass
a shot glass
redbull
yeagarmeister (probably spelt wrong.... "i don't know what its called, i just know the taste it gives when i drink it" haha slight quote from tropic thunder there)

basically you half fill the pint glass with redbull (equates to half the can of redbull, so you can usually do 2 yeagarbombs with 1 redbull can)
you fill the shot glass with yeagar.
lower the shot glass into the redbull (it'll float)
now toast to something, or like me and the lads do, just toast to a good night out. and knock the drink back.

the drink fuses together as you drink it and tastes bloody incredible. the thing is....after 6 you can't stand. mainly because of the strength of the yeagar.

snakebites are also a refreshing drink :)

usually by the end of the night (2am) drinking starts to calm down to a degree. we switch to VK (Vodka Kick) or smirnoff ice. and topp the night off by going to a chicken and chips shop and ordering a chicken burger with chips....that i eat half the burger, half the chips...get home and try desperately to finish it....and pass out.

i've been doing this for a long while now....and haven't once finished that god awful meal

Aye, Snakebite is well nice. I always tend to forget about it when i'm out though, I dunno why because I love it.

Do you have it with blackcurrent codial? Some people say snakebite comes with it anyways, others just have it without.

To me its lager, cider and blackcurrent. I hear some people add a shot of sambuca in it, I gotta try that sometime. hehe
