What's your favourite beer/mixer/alcoholic drink?

I was going to include a poll, but there'd be too many options to put down.

I'm obliged to mention cider here, for you sorry folk who drink the ****. :p

Hmm, I prefer quality over quantity so I'm not into the lagers and alcopops - cider is quite refreshing in summer but by the looks of things we've blinked and missed it!

It would have to be a nutritious pint of Guinness (aka a meal in a glass), single malt whiskey (or whisky, depending on how you choose to spell it) or real ale for me. My personal favourite: Old Peculiar. It tastes great but I'd strongly recommend moderation - that stuff can be lethal!

I don't drink any alcohol. Would rather spend my money on my hobbies! For some reason I always get given wines and champagnes as gifts though. My friends love me when I give them away...

Depending on the year of he wine you might want to keep afew bottles and in a decade you could sell it and earn yourself alittle bundle :)
Its like a stock/share but abit more physical, an, investment :)

makes 2 of us

can't stand alcohol

I can drink alcopops (usually Smirnoff Ice and WKD blue) and sake. I'm not a beer person, but I've had cider too (but I still prefer the sweeter tastes of alcopops).

I'm the same as Ryo and Rui. Although only having just turned 18, I haven't really had much opportunity to actually go out and drink anyway.

I obviously know people drink before that age though because, well, it's legal if you're 5 (in a controlled environment), not to mention you get kids who sneak it out to drink with mates etc. But I've just never been interested in that kind of thing and simply detest the taste of the stuff.

A glass of coke is my substitute.

Depends on what I'm doing I guess. Certain drinks don't give me a hangover (in moderation of course) and I definatley don't mix... unless it's a Makers Mark at the end of the night to send me off.

Mostly a BUD drinker than anything else (can't drink any other lager) otherwise I'd be on the Guests or if we're talking spirits it has to be Voddas (vodka).

;)

Newcastle Brown Ale, Theakstons Old Peculier, or failing those Guinness. Can't stand piss-weak lagers, I'm a Yorkshireman!

Don't Drink at all actually, hate the idea of even doing so as well, but thats down to knowing too many in my family that have suffered from it, so i keep well away from it.
I don't get the whole thing with drink anyway, people think its the only way to have a good time, yet i've never had to have a drink to have a good time. =/

A good Cider gets you to where you need to go quicker than Beer and generally tastes nicer. Shame about the 'I look like an overaged under-aged drinker'* factor of most of the lower end stuff and the probability that if I were to ever actually drink a proper scrumpy, my featherweight reputation would be upheld within the quarter-hour.

* Of course, when I was underaged and drinking, I was actually drinking alcopops, because trading standards told me not to.

A good pint of Goliath, or Yorkshire Square Ale does it for me, I love my real Ale. Failing that we have Loic Raison, a French Cider (I get 4-6 litres every time my parents go there) which is gorgeous, none of the artificial sweetness of UK ciders.

Great offer at sainsburies:

20 bottles of stella
15 bottlest of carlsberg export
= £18

18 bottles of stella or foster or carlsberg + 18 bottles of the remaining two choices = £20 at the co-op.

Iceland 6 bottles of average personal bottles of multi-pack vodka for £5

Or 3, 2 litre bottles of vodka for £10

There's your weekly Tachi report on beverage prices.

Same, but there are some nights I just want to let loose and not care about what I do.
