Crunchyroll having only those two Code Geass rereleases is the smallest slate of announcements I can think of from them.

Hope that's a one-time quirk rather than some hint of them just not releasing more and more of their titles on disc. :confused:

Another paltry set of announcements in terms of size, I think the third(?) month in a row. One month is one thing, two is troubling, three suggests this is the new normal. :confused:

Given the overwhelming majority of what Crunchyroll UK releases are the same as what the US gets, this is going to start affecting Crunchyroll UK's slates as well. It hasn't, noticeably so yet, only because the UK release dates mostly lag a month or two behind the US.

And there is nothing in this set that I want.

A small slate but glad to see DB Daima releasing and I like the design of the LE so I'll definitely be pre-ordering that once the UK listing is up.
 
I'll get the Solo Leveling S2 LE since I have the LE of the first season, and the Greatest Alchemist. I'll also pickup the two steelbooks from the February slate, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction and Elf Girl's Cat - even though I hate cats, lol.

Sigh. Another very small slate from Crunchyroll. For 2026 so far they've had:
  • January - 4 releases
  • February - 2 releases (both Code Geass rereleases)
  • March - 3 releases
  • April - 3 releases
Even December 2025's slate was on the smaller side compared to what they'd been doing for a while. A month or two like this can just be a fluke, but four months in a row really suggests this is the new normal. :confused: Unless there is some underlying reason, as a few years ago now when they did this for a while because of switching distributors, but I am not aware of anything like that now.

I don't like thinking the worst or to be always just posting negativity, but it's hard to see any positives when this goes on like this for this long.

Beginning of 2026 is also when Crunchyroll completely ended their free-with-ads service. Maybe the timing is a coincidence but it's starting to really look like the only thing they're interested in is their paid streaming service.

Nothing for me from these latest slates from either Crunchyroll or Sentai.
