Ah this is brilliant, I was wondering what was going when I read it was being released as movies in Japan. This new trend of movies followed by parts/most? of the story being rehashed in series is getting confusing.

But, very excited about an Asano work being given the anime treatment and hope it's the first of many (just need Masaaki Yuasa to come out of retirement? to adapt Goodnight Pun Pun with his characteristic flair!).

Also interested to see how they end the story of Dead Dead Demon's in the anime. I see it is on crunchyplex already, guess I know what I'll be watching (and hopefully not sleeping through) in the early hours of this morning then.

Yeah I was expecting to watch a few episodes but guess it'll be a weekly release heh. First episode was definitely not what I expected, given which point of the manga they started in, but it's very interesting and does make me wonder if they're going to expand on the original story.
