Re: NYCC Anime/Manga News | Kodansha Comics: *Panel Started* | Yen Press: Dimension W, OVERLORD, Psycome + More

Right, first post now up to date.

Kodansha Comics is the next publisher to have a panel going on.

Other ones coming up are Aniplex, Funimation & Viewster.

Overlord is nice, but again they crush my hopes by not announcing Highschool DxD

Fujimi Fantasia Bunko

Of course, that's just my little theory, but this is another set of license announcements gone by without no DxD, Date A Live, SaeKano, AmaBuri, Chaika, KamiNai, Tokyo Ravens or indeed anything else from that label.

Re: NYCC Anime/Manga News Thread | Aniplex Panel starts

Good to see a Fuuka announcement! Shame it's not announcement of a print release as considering I read the series through Crunchyroll I'm not sure I'd be that invested in an eBook version.

Considering a lot of the announcements Kodansha have made are manga available through Crunchy, I guess they must be getting a decent amount of views/attention which is really nice to see.

Re: NYCC Anime/Manga News Thread | Aniplex Panel starts

Everything's been quiet but I managed to find someone who's tweeting about the Aniplex panel.

I found this tweet hilarious:
Aniplex announcer: "who here has seen Oreimo?"

Guy next to me: "unfortunately I have"

So far they've gone through the usual already released titles but they did show off Kizumonogatari, so that means Aniplex of America has the license for that already (well it was bound to happen).

Aniplex also showed off the trailer for Sword Art Online: The Movie (tentative title I made). The trailer for this is also up on Aniplex's YouTube channel.

Re: NYCC Anime/Manga News OT | FUNi Panel started | Aniplex: Kizu Trilogy & SAO Movie Project

At first I thought there was nothing new at Funi's panel then I checked the time again.

5:30pm to 6:30pm in EST = 10:30pm to 11:30pm in BST

*facepalm*

To be honest the announcements generally don't come until the last quarter of the panel.

UPDATE (23:00 BST):
Half an hour into the panel and it's still full of filler.

UPDATE (23:07 BST):
Funimation logic:
I'm just being informed by you guys that Fairy Tail Part 17 is already out? But...they just showed a trailer for Part 16. #NYCC2015
AND NOW A TRAILER FOR FULL METAL ALCHEMIST COMPLETE COLLECTION.

Guys, this panel is a dang trailer for their Shop. #FunimationPanel

Re: NYCC Anime/Manga News OT | FUNi Panel started | Aniplex: Kizu Trilogy & SAO Movie Project

Guys, a collective yawn and teeth sucking fit just happened when FUNi showed another trailer for anime already available.

#FunimationPanel
#FuniLogic

We all know Funi is saving the best for last. Just watch as they tease Evangelion's release date and delay it even further. #FunimationPanel

Re: NYCC Anime/Manga News OT | FUNi Panel started | Aniplex: Kizu Trilogy & SAO Movie Project

Funimation is doing a Lootcrate subscription. They basically saw Viewster's Omakase and wanted a piece of the pie.

Uh oh. Not sure there is gonna be room for theirs and Viewster's in the US market, it's such a small thing that someone is going to miss out one way or the other.
