NYCC Anime/Manga News OT | Viz: Sailor Moon Crystal Dark Kingdom arc due Early 2016

Re: NYCC Anime/Manga News OT | FUNi Playing Tricks on Everyone - Evangelion: 3.33 February 2nd 2016

Is there a live stream somewhere or have I missed it?

Just seen the 3.33 dub was screening. There wouldn't be the remotest possibility that 3.33 could be one of the unannounced screenings at MCM loves anime could there???

It was being live-tweeted.

Evangelion: 3.33 was in theaters two years ago. There are no plans for another cinema release in the states (and I'm not sure if it'll appear at MCM Loves Anime).

Ah my bad I just scrolled down on funi's nycc page but didn't spot that was talking about the 2013 screening. for some reason I assumed it was whatever changes they had to make since then were being screened this year. Oh well guess there's no particular reason to get my hopes up for a 3.33 screening then...

Funimation is doing a Lootcrate subscription. They basically saw Viewster's Omakase and wanted a piece of the pie.

Uh oh. Not sure there is gonna be room for theirs and Viewster's in the US market, it's such a small thing that someone is going to miss out one way or the other.
No room for one of the blankers.

Overlord is nice, but again they crush my hopes by not announcing Highschool DxD

Fujimi Fantasia Bunko

Of course, that's just my little theory, but this is another set of license announcements gone by without no DxD, Date A Live, SaeKano, AmaBuri, Chaika, KamiNai, Tokyo Ravens or indeed anything else from that label.

It's definitely possible that working with Tokyopop soured their opinion of working with future US companies. Though I'd hope they'd realise Yen are quite a different company compared to Tokyopop, their novel line has been running for quite a few years successfully, though I guess it's only really just recently had the massive expansion of titles.

Let's just hope they actually make the date this time. Now, your move Manga.

You'll never get one. Word on the street is the delay is partly FUNi's fault and partly Japan's.
