The forums on Anime UK News have a lot of Guilty Gear fans who love the mix of anime, heavy metal and ridiculous stories and so they will probably be excited over the news that there will be a new game. A trailer has already been released.


The new game and the trailer for it were revealed at the ArcRevo tournament last weekend in Japan. The game is powered by the Unreal Engine and seems to be a 3D fighter which recreates the hand drawn look of previous Guilty Gear games. The game is called Guilty Gear Xrd and the director of the game is Daisuke Ishiwatari, the original creator of Guilty Gear and its awesome music, some of which can be heard in the trailer.

wowsers, looks amazing. I honestly thought that was legit 2D at first. Although there's still a small purist part of me shouting "dot each pixel by hand you lazy bums!", I really can't deny this looks good. Also, Xrd seems like a hilariously suitable (if unpronounceable) name for a Guilty Gear game. Microsoft should have snagged that for their new Xbox's name! I hope that dapper Vampire is in the game, he was my fav character, mainly because he could do that cheap arse transportation thing :)
 
Urgh, not THAT vampire... :p Not played this series for a while, so my story backlog's gonna be manic with all the DS and other hand-held spin offs etc. And Ki has gained +10 to his Bishy content with that longer hair. BTW, that wasn't Millia at the end, right? She shrunk slightly from what I remembered. lol

Well, cant wait for this to come out. Will be wanting to return to the fight.
