New Funimation licenses announced in US

Funimation just announced a few new shows, mainly Gonzo stuff.

They also promised more licenses to be announced soon, so check back here for updates.
 
Let me know when an anime that's highly rated and doesn't sound stupid is coming out.

Gonzo have meant to have been releasing only poorly animated series for quite some time, and if that's the case then getting a selection of Gonzo titles released isn't so good.

Bamboo Blade is well worth a watch. The others aren't really spectactular, but BB alone makes the announcement good.
 
I'm doomed to buy Dragonaut when it's super cheap because of the character designs. I've read the threads and know it's not regarded as worthwhile. I won't pay much for that.

None of the rest interest me though they're welcome to stick trailers on other discs and try to change my mind.

Bamboo Blade is about the only one on the list I might bother buying on release. The others can wait to get cheap, and then only if they were rated as okay shows or I show at least some interest in what I hear about them, will I consider buying.
 
I thought Blassreiter was pretty good from what i've seen of it. Tower of Druga is okish, only seen 1 episode of Dragonaut and thats not been since god knows when. Bamboo Blade should be pretty good though
 
Blassreiter was alright (in a very B-movie kind-of way); it's just a really solid, pumped-up and violent action series. I managed to watch it all the way through. I just wouldn't recommend it to those with slightly more 'refined'/sensitive taste in anime.

Generally speaking, it's an anime series with actual adult characters! Something of a novelty these days!

To be honest I'd rather SnH got its own license announcement instead of being in a bundle like this. It's the kind of show that will easily slide under a lot of peoples' radars (especially if they're really changing the name) so a bit of a spotlight when it's announced to give it a boost would be good.

The problem with bundles is that the crummier licenses tend to get ignored amongst the more famous ones. I prefer TRSI's method of giving each show a huge marketing push to get its name out there, though of course I appreciate that Funi releases at least 10x more shows per month than Nozomi can.

I'd buy SnH before anything in this announcement personally but I think the action, game and breast anime in the list will all sell on box art alone. SnH needs a bit more.

I wish that was true as well but from that clue there looks like Conan-San has got his wish
 
Jesus Christ, Funi, just license Bokurano already, even if it mediocre it's far better than the titles posted above. I pray it's Casshern SINS.

EDIT: Seto no Hanayome...?
