New feature - Your Public Profiles and Added Interactivity

I'm having the same problems, I can't 'edit' my 'all about' page but i can edit stuff like top anime, etc

Also favourite anime (within the 'all about' section) is listed twice for some reason

You spent weeks on this right? :)

It sounds cookie related to me.

Log-out and Log-In to the forum. The cookie for these profiles is set when you log-in to the forum.

If that doesn't work- try using this page:

http://www.animeuknews.net/user_login.php

And if it still doesn't work- send me a private message and we'll work out why it isn't working on your computer :) I suspect this will be a firewall or proxy problem.

The All About details are being pulled out of the forum database, so if you want to change them, just edit your forum profile. I'll stick an [Edit] link on there too, so that people can better understand that.

Also- I saw "Favourite Anime" appear on there twice too, but now the second one is gone again. I wish I could give you a logical answer as to why that happened.

And yeah, three weeks :)
 
Yeah I noticed the info is from your profile details I guess what threw me was the 'Paul's Questionaire' part. How do I go about filling in something like this myself?
 
I edited all of my info (questionaire, top anime etc) and it doesn't appear when you click on the link for expanded profile (i.e. the info I entered isn't there). If I go to the main page that explains about the new profile it states I've filled everything out, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
Have I done something wrong?

OK, this is a bug with the system. It's because you have a "-" in your user name and its throwing the code in a bit of a loop. I'll try and fix it this evening for ya (and for anyone else with a "-" dash in their names :)! )

Log out and Log in, it should work for you then.


Also- Miaka-chan and anyone with "-" in their usernames- it should be working for you now. You will have to log-out and log-in to regenerate the profile but after that everything should be good. Sorry for making you type everything out again.
 
Here are some new ideas I've had lately to add on to the current version of these profiles.

  • Your Desktop Wallpaper (which will of course have to be limited by size etc)
  • Pics of you
  • Conventions / Meet ups that users can subscribe to (similiar to the friends list)
  • Some kind of user blog / shout box

Will the wallpaper be done with a scaled thumbnail that you can click on and bring up a popup so you can veiw to real size wallpaper?
 
I still cant seem to Bookmark any dates for my page. It keeps telling me theres an error with "_feixX" Is there anything I can do to fix that?

Log-out and Log-in to the forums. That should fix it... Let me know if you still get the problem and I'll investigate a little further :)
