New Anime Releases 30/05/2011: Anime Legend Code Geass

Play list it at 10 hours 25 minutes, HMV have it as a six disc collection, so do The Hut, Anime on line has a run time listed of 625 minutes... The US AL release was 625 minutes and The Complete First Season.

Can we stop panicking now?

You win. Thanks for the clear-up.

I'm pretty sure they mean that they split the first season into two parts
Amazon and HMV both list the Geass Anime Legends set as a 6-disc release, so it should be the entire first series.
In which case I'm gonna have to find an original copy of part 1 then :(

And Japan expects you to spend roughly 400 quid on a 26 episode show.
Geass was actually only a nine disc release, so more in the region of £250-300. I did however import it on both DVD and BD, so in that respect maybe you lowballed it a little. ^^;

I want my preordered DRRR!! 3. Especially as I saw it at Expo on the table ;_;
Yeah, I heard it was at the Expo so thought "time to start a DRRR!! rewatch", then a day or so later got the "this title has been delayed AGAIN" email, which was as confusing as it was annoying. Why didn't you just buy it at the Expo and cancel your preorder, though?

Optimism :( that and by the time I visited the Beez stand I was carrying most of the contents of the Koei-Tecmo table in hardback artbooks, amongst other things, and couldn't face adding anything else to the pile. I really hope it ships soon though so I can finish enjoying the show. At least I touched it.

I usually don't buy anything much at Expo since so much there is bootleg but I went a bit mad this time.

£5 each for some of the older Japanese artbooks (I love Shin Sangoku Musou) cannot be argued with. They were probably my deal of the show, especially as buying them locally means that they won't contribute to excess baggage problems in my future :)

Very nice, visiting Expo for the first time last year I didn't see (m)any artbooks that weren't very overpriced, but that sounds pretty cool.

My Code Geass box set arrived today. 6 discs, 25 episodes.

Ah, I love being proved right. 8)

Sweet! In that case i'll be picking it up, going by the other posts, i thought Beez would "Big O" us, still gutted that only had 13 episodes.

Wasn't there talk of Beez being interested in bringing Big O II out over here on Anime Legends?

Sure hope that happens. Great series. Loved the hell out of the second season!

Last bit of news I had on Gundam was from Amazon. Pushed back till December 29 2011.

They've done that before and then suddenly bring it back to the original date. Can't find anything else online about it though :-(

A note about Amazon release dates:

Several items I had preordered recently got pushed back, then materialised as per the originally stated release date or thereabouts. None of it was anime, admittedly. But it IS something that happens from time to time.

If release dates are of interest to you, I'd recommend trying to get a date form the publisher / distributor as opposed to relying on info from online retailers.
