Have the collectors of Durarara!! and not really interested in Log Horizon (to be fair, I've never seen it as I've always been put off by the concept since SAO was so awful, may try it sometime as I hear it's a lot better)
Think of Log Horizon more of a cross between the Hack// series and Spice & Wolf - it's more concerned with the mechanics of MMOs than fantasy antics like SAO was.

Agreed a raid in SAO was just a relentless attack by the core group a raid in Log Horizon was with a group of 24 characters and went over the roles each of the sub groups were handling. Log Horizon grounds itself in its world instead of focusing on being a power trip for the MC.
