New Anime Releases - 08/12/2014

I don't know why the covers for both versions of Space Dandy are the same, but I do plan to get the Blu-Ray version (its cheaper for one thing).

Space Dandy collectors part 1 Blu-ray shipped from Amazon yesterday. Bakemonogatari Complete Collection Blu-ray I'll pick up at a later date.

Space Dandy Blu-Ray I received from Anime Limited on Friday.

Bakemonogatari - I still need to watch Part 1 to see if I enjoy it.
Blast of Tempest - Waiting on price drop or complete collection.
Miyazaki Boxset - Already own the films individually on Blu-Ray.

Space Dandy is on the way. Will wait on Bakemonogatari. I was considering the Miyazaki boxset, but I'll wait on that too. I hear Studio Canal throw on loads of horrible DNR on their transfers too which puts me off a bit.

Still hoping for a Blast of Tempest BD at some point...

Already own Bakemonogatari (Aniplex release).

Passing on Blast of Tempest.

No plans on Miyazaki Box Set.

Passing on Space Dandy Season 1.

Bakemonogatari - Have Singles
Blast of Tempest - One day, if it gets a BD release
MIyazaki set - Not sure, have the singles but it does look nice ..
Space Dandy - Waiting for Zavvi to post the BD.

Still waiting on a BD release somewhere for Zetsuen No Tempest :(

I was going to wait on Space Dandy but seeing the good price on Amazon right now I decided to pick it up.

When you're printing 2 x products for FR + UK at the same time it's cost effective and reduces approval overload basically :). As it's also the same edition barring discs it seemed to make sense too.

Is Space Dandy at all available on any of the usual streaming sites (Crunchyroll, etc.)? The Collector's Edition looks great, but I'm honestly not willing to blind buy on looks alone.

Season 1 is available on Netflix.

It's also on Wakanim but you have to pay for some credits to watch since the free-to-air period has passed by now. To be honest, the tone (and even art style) wildly varies in between episodes because it's an experimental show which used a lot of different creative staff, so you'll probably get as much of an idea of what to expect from the synopsis and trailer as you would watching one or two episodes on their own.

Thanks for the trailers! I've made an account with Wakanim, so I'll give the first half or so a watch, then decide from there. From what I saw, it does looks like a show I could get invested in. Especially dig the soundtrack, haha.

Space Dandy worth a watch? It's only a small number of episodes isn't it? That might make me wait for the price to knock down a bit.

Want the Miyazaki collection so bad. So pretty!
