I still need some money for my bass but that just gives me more time to practice with my classical guitar. If you have any recommendations for beginner bass guitars - do PM me please.
I've been drawn to the Yamaha (because of the prices) and told to stay away from Ibanez and Squier

Yamaha's are great instruments, possibly he best value for money you can find while you're a begginer.
