Another round of titles are now on their last legs in terms of stock.

A while back we noted that three titles from MVM’s catalogue went out of print, and now the distributor unveiled on social media that six more titles will also receive the same fate. It’s worth noting these are all titles that have been with the distributor for years.

Much like last time, once the stock is gone they will no longer be reprinted. All of the shows mentioned were all animated by studio GONZO, as well as being released as single DVD volumes and a complete series DVD box set with both English & Japanese audio with English subtitles.

The following titles they will lose the license for are:

I enjoy all except Black Cat.

My fave out of them is Samurai 7. Speedgrapher, and Basilisk are both solid shows, Solty Rei and Desert Punk are both trashy fun which suffer from the usual Gonzo fall into mediocrity when it comes to ending them.

Samurai 7 is sublime, a worthy adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's seminal masterpiece. It takes a few liberties with the story and setting, but it's a great pick up.

Basilisk
is also very solid and I recall Black Cat being quite fun. (though I'd personally pick the first two up on Blu Ray Over DVD since their respective Anime Classics sets include both formats)
