Media Blasters license Bakuman anime for North America

North American distributor Media Blasters have been pretty busy in the licensing arena of late, and today sees them announce another big-name title to add to their line-up - Bakuman, the anime adaptation of the popular manga series available in the UK via Viz Media and penned by the creators of Death Note.

The company have currently announced rights to the entire first season of the series which details the trials and tribulations in love and life for a couple of school-aged wannabe manga artists (a second season will broadcast in Japan this Autumn), with the first volume of the series currently slated for a November US release on DVD complete with an English dub.

This is awesome news as i rather enjoyed the anime even though most haters didnt bother to watch past the first few episodes. the manga will always be infinetly better but the anime was good nontheless. :roll:
