Synopsis

<em>Stationed at a colony in a remote star system Alliance Marine, James Vega leads an elite Special Forces squad against The Collectors who are trying to snatch the population for unknown purposes. </em>

Production I.G. and T.O. Entertainment are collaborating with BioWare and Funimation in creating an anime prequel to Mass Effect 3. This is the second BioWare property to get the anime treatment following on from Dragon Age: Dawn of Seeker. The anime will have music scored by Joshua R. Mosley and David Kates who previously worked on the soundtracks for Mass Effect 1 and 2.

Basically, from what i've seen and read, everyone actually groaned at the sight of James Vega as the main character. I've yet to play Mass Effect 3, but i hear everyone hates him with a passion, though at least the music will be done by the ME1/2 team. Still, it's interesting to see Funimation do more anime style works at the moment too. Even if both don't really appeal to me from what i've seen so far.
 
James Vega is badass I don't know what people are talking about. So not everybody hates him, he accompanied on a lot of missions through out the game.
 
Not CG trash like Dragon Age? Excellent.

He's okay, he was just the gateway to the series for the CoD crowd but turned out okay, he's a lot more humble than I would have imagined instead of "I'm so HXC, Commander, I once quick scoped a Batarian from 300 yards away."
 
He does look a bit stupid. Also I don't like when you get these random new characters dropped on you with no explanation, liek you;re supposed to know who they are, it was quite jarring him being all buddylike with Shepherd from the beginning when it was my first time seeing him.

Will definitely watch this anyway.
 
Initially, everyone was not keen on the Vega character, much like Jack back before ME2 came out but they actually handled his character pretty well, he has some great lines and is pretty badass so i don't think Vega being the main character will affect the Anime too much.

They should have some cameos though, just for selfish reasons. Garrus would be great.
