MANGA UK: To Shortly Announce New Licenses for Early 2011?

I also wouldn't mind seeing Casshern Sins and Dragonball Kai (Can anyone say "Cash Cow"?).

They've actually already said there's a good chance of them licensing Casshern Sins;

That's what i asked them on Twitter, they replied and said "Pretty good actually. But it would be direct with Showgate. Funimation does not hold the UK rights for this series."

Go down a few pages and you'll see their reply to my comment.

Oh, you're welcome, by the way :)

Time to get saving. :p
Hehe, indeed.

fwiw though, and I'm sure you probably know this already, buying something "second hand" in Japan is generally not like popping down to your local branch of GAME and getting some free pubes with your copy of Modern Warfare 2. Especially when something is listed as 非常に良い you would be struggling to see the difference between that and a brand new copy.

Which is sad. I wish people would take more care of their stuff. 90% of the stuff I own that I bought new is still in immaculate condition.

On-topic: I'm hoping for FMPTSR, Trigun Badlands Rumble aaaaaaaand.... I guess that's it. For now.

Although I gave up Casshern Sins halfway through, if it gets licensed, I'll be glad to give it a second chance. I do hope they do a FUNimation and release both parts at once xD

Off topic, I know but - yeah. What is with that? I've had to buy second hand DVDs on occasion just to get the shows I wanted. I'm shocked at how many of them have arrived looking like they were used as shiny dartboards or coffee coasters. And the sellers have the GALL to describe the product as being 'in very good condition' or even 'as new'?

I can't stress enough - for most dedicated anime fans, some sort of motorized disc repair system is an absolute boon. I bought one recently and it's fixed not only my dmaged second hand discs, but a few brand new ones with annoying playback glitches too.

Just don't try using the thing on Blu-rays!

My discs are usually ok, but the cases often not. I think we should de-rail the topic into this, I feel it's far more interesting than arbitrary guessing of licneces :p

I'm hoping for High School Of The Dead too, likely too since I seem to remember reading that Manga were interested in it. One Piece or DBZ Kai would be nice but I won't hold my breath.

Hetalia: Axis Powers won't be the only one they will be revealing but actually quite a few more to be announced soon:

Then why doesn't he tell us?!?!?!

Either getting the finally OK to reveal them or deciding to reveal them slowly one at a time, so each new release gets optimum amount of fan attention. Imagine if they announced all the titles in one go, certain titles would fall by the way side as the bigger titles will get all the glory.

That one time they had a mass announcement, they had stuff like Save me Lollipop and Sasami to announce, but buried under all the other stuff like Darker than Black and Claymore, they certainly got forgotten.

Wouldn't it be nice if, at the tail-end of all the announcements, when all hope seems lost, Manga UK victoriously declares One Piece primed for release in the United Kingdom!

:x

That would be great, but I'm not holding my breath. In fact I plan on finally giving up all hope and buying the US sets in January... You've got until then Manga! (though I know you won't...)
