Manga UK Interview: 3 more Licenses to be Announced at EXPO?

It appears that Manga also have Haruhi-chan and series 2.

On the one hand F*** yes (I've been meaning to ask what's the rules on le swearing round here? I never know if I should star or not) on the other, that's weird, I though beez was looking into haruhi-chan. Ah wells.

I think, personally, they should do Haruhi s2 as a single set. I don't see people rushing to buy the endless 8 volume any other way. Plus it's only 12 eps or so right?

So Manga have Haruhi series 2? I passed on the Bandai release because of the Endless 8 debacble and the price (about £30 to import) so it'd be interesting to see if Manga would tempt me with a sub-£20 (after discounts) set.

The movie should be viewed after the two TV series, yes?

It's one series, 2 seasons.
Season 2 is during season 1 not after it. Volume numbers are 5.714285 , and crap for a reason.

Movie chronologicaly is "December 17 until December 24 a month after the cultural festival"
Edit: yep it's last.

for chronologic order (2009 broadcast) see here:

Haruhi Season 2 and Haruhi-chan? Hell yeah xD

So, the bad fan reaction to Endless Eight made Beez decide against it? I hope Manga UK release Season 2 in one volume, otherwise yeah, the Endless Eight volumes would be skipped xD

I also wonder how well Haruhi-chan and Nyoro~n Churuya-san would sell as an individual release. Maybe they should be included in a special edition of Season 2 or the movie?

The panel seemed to imply that they want to bundle Haruhi-chan with Season to try and make up for Endless Eight.

One of the blog posts from the Expo said something about the Movie and Haruhi-chan being bundled together as a license so Haruhi-chan was presumably not available to licence on it's own.

Well it's not like I'm gonna nose dive at the chance they release. I'd get the movie, then see if the series merges together, otherwise I'll wait so I can get both of them when they're cheaper. I'm not gonna pay £30 or more for a dozen episodes unless it's rare/OOP/worth it. Unfortunately Haruhi dosn't cover any of those

Eh? the only gaps are between the last two episodes of the series and between the final ep and the film, "season 2" is a gap filling exercise.
The series has an odd structure anyway, most fans like the fact it's not necesarily in the right order.

They're 14 ep seasons, not 12.

That said after taking away at least 6 eps of Endless Eight it starts to look bad value.

Still not worth it

Oh yeah, final episode on season 1 was a blast too. Good times
Which one, TV or disk? Not many series that have more than one final ep. You did watch it in the order it aired in first right, not the order it is on disk, otherwise it ends in 6 eps followed by 8 of what is mostly filler (or makes less sense due to missing bits).

"Someday in the Rain" is still the last ep (chronologicaly) after season 2, most of which is between "Lone Island Syndrome (part 2)" and "the Adventures of Mikuru Asahina Episode 00".

Mind the series is supposed to be confusing like that, the books are in an equaly odd order. Chronology is roughly: 1,3,5,2,6,4,7,(8?),9,10. 1,2,4,6,7 9,and 10 are whole novels, the others are like collections of short stories, hence the odd chapter being in the wrong place.

I'm talking about the "Someday in the rain" when it was the last episode for the 2006 show, when they're wasn't any mix on seasons apart from spin-off's, like smoked cheese girl

DVD order then. Yup it's a ****** anime original filler ep, which even worse has a big timeskip before it. It broadcast in a totaly different order, ending on Melancholy VI, which actualy has an ending. You realy should have seen it in that order first, otherwise the pacing is awful.

Interesting enough wikipedia refers to this as "Kyons Order" then there's "Haruhi's order" that is practically the same as the DVD order (give or take a few episodes).

I'm not saying Haruhi's bad, just there was a lot more bad that outweighed the good.

I wonder if any of the English cast was asked how they felt doing endless eight
