So really, Twitter does turn anyone into a raging moron.
Fixed.

At the risk of crucifixion, I have to admit to not giving the slightest toss about Dragon Ball, so I'll be on my merry way.
Yes, it sort of does but my being a raging tit has no bearing on a company's financial future, now does it?

Maybe if you provoke Jerome while you're doing it. ;)

You're saying that as if that requires effort to do. I could probably sneeze and it'd be interpreted as some sort of code for "buy the shows you want imported".

To be fair, did anyone want DBZ anyway, I mean we are talking about 270 episodes. For the cost of licensing that, surely Manga could instead invest it in something that is both desired and current, like Index or Madoka.

Who the hell doesnt want DBZ released? Allot of people grew up watching this show, so yeah i do think people want DBZ

Yeah. But you can split those people into 2 groups:

1 - The people who remember it. Most of which already own the US DVDs

2 - The people who won't remember until they see it on a store shelf. They probably won't buy 9 boxsets, though.

*Raises hand shyly*
I personally, am not a fan of Dragonball Z. I tried to watch Kai, but was bored after six episodes.

Considering the length of the series, and how much money Manga UK moan about losing on failed blu-ray releases, I doubt we're getting DB any time soon.

I saw a few minutes of dragonball on TV once. That was enough, it's not for me.
It's the Family Guy of anime.

It's not Brilliant, but it does what it sets out to do well.
I can understand Dragonball Z not being to everyones taste but the original Dragonball is one of the funniest and best anime series ever,Z just took the franchise in a whole different direction for better or worse depending on your tastes but i love both, its GT that can burn in the fires of anime hell.

Family Guy

Have to agree above that Dragonball Z definitely is an acquired taste, couldn't get into myself, but when Dragonball was on I enjoyed it, definitely weird! never seen or cared about GT in my life!

Goku's granddaughter was in DBZ and the manga, GT didn't invent her

I meant the fact that Family Guy is a dumb cartoon. And it does "being a dumb cartoon" well*.

While DBZ is a long running shonen with guys yelling for a whole episode. But it does "being a long running shonen with guys yelling for a whole episode" well.

*srsly. While it's got stupid running jokes, you gotta admit it's done some classic Simpsons-esque witty lines.

Yes, because Heaven forbid manga makes any money for making a good business decision for once.

family used to be cool back in its earlier days

Yeah it was, after it returned from cancellation after season 3 it's gone downhill and all it has are the same recycled jokes or the episodes writers own political tirades, or just blatant unneeded violence

Jumping the Shark it has!

Yup. Most of the great lines were in the first few seasons. But it's had it's moments in the later seasons.

I only watch it since I watch the whole block (even Simpsons and Cleveland), just for American Dad & Bob's Burgers
