I can answer that one for you, they can't issue them as they got licensed by a different company :)

-Ah thats a shame coz I havent seen those ones even tho some people wonder why people can watch something so vulgar lol I've read that Urotosukidoji 3 is split into a four part mini series and the UK release of Urotosukidoji 4 is only 40 odd minutes long due to heavy cuts and sensoring throughout, Have you seen them at all? Are they worth picking up?-

Nope, i haven't seen them, heard about the edits mind

Wow! A fellow Innocence fan. I've only seen it once, but I feel it more than holds its own against its predecessor.

The only Manga Force release I own is NGE: Death and Rebirth. The boxart looks like a bootleg, but its the real deal inside.

Awesome, I didnt realise there was a 2nd Ghost in the Shell movie until like a while after it was released, so it was nice to recieve it in manga force.

Ah, NGE Death & Rebirth is awesome, you should check out NGE End of Evangelion too, is great stuff, its a shame they couldn't release the actual series along with the films, but I guess Manga Entertainment cant aquire the license from ADV Films.

If you like alot of the Manga Entertainment animes definately check out the Studio Ghibli collection, is awesome. Especially 'Princess Mononoke'thats one anime I highly recommend!

Okies, no worries, I've heard alot about them but not seen em, apparently they have very little to do with the events of the first two films and are only avaliable in english sub.

On a different note I've heard that theres a live action Akira movie in the works, dunno anything about it mind, but I read that the director of the anime will help produce the film, its gonna be a tough one to do justice, still interesting tho but at the moment I have my doubts.

As regards the Live action Akira project I have doubts as well. I certainly don't like the person chosen to direct the new films. The fact the story is being relocated -along with the renaming of one of the most important characters- leaves me uninterested in this film entirely.

Who do they plan to rename, Kaneda? or Tetsuo? thats an outrage if they rename either of those two, dammit now I've lost interest all together.

Brace yourself and read this. It contains many of the known alterations made thus far.
As for the character rename in question, I'll try to soften the blow for you: Why does it always rain on me?

Tetsuo is being renamed to "Travis" OMFG how dare they mess with classic animes like that.
Why did they even sell them the license to even make this movie, this upcoming adaption has lost my entire interest. Someone please change the subject.

I reckon alot of whats left of Manga Force is pretty much Tokko, Neoin, and Otogi Zoshi, I was hoping they would issue the Street Fighter V2 series but I found that they are licensed to ADV films, shame coz its an awesome series.

GITS

I'm new to the forum and not native english spoker (therefore please take my language mistake lightly) but a huge anime fan:)
So first hallo everyone!
Now the subject of my post: I tried to read throug this topic but in the end got confused due to its lenght. Can anybody simply clarify a matter for me?
Is the quality of Ghost in the Shell good? I would really apriciate info on how does it look on fullhd tv, its resolution and a snapshot.
Thanks in advance

I can't give you a snapshot because I do not have it on my Computer at the moment, however I have a 32" HD TV and have the Normal DVDs (Not the Blu Rays) and it looks beautiful.

Ghost in the Shell is the best. Watch it.

GITS

I have already watched it but now in my country the Manga Force version is being sold on our equivalent of eBuy and I found the recent purchase of 1080p tv a good reason for buying an upscalable dvd version. But the main determinants for me are good quality of video and audio on Manga Force version. I'm just not sure if you meant the Manga Force edition in your post, Spyro201

I do not have the Manga Force ones, I bought the Box Pack of Ghost in the Shell, and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence

It's quite cheap now, and very good value.

When I saw it on a 30" TV it looked fine. You can buy the film and its sequel for a fiver from play.com, the sequal featuring even better visuals. As a philosophy student I find some of the films' messages to be asserted without sufficient analysis, but I could say that about many 'deep' pieces of fiction. The pensive narrative along with the sheer amount of imagery still make them enigmatic films.

Everyone who likes GITS needs to watch Patlabor: The Movie and its sequel. You can really see the fundamentals of Oshii's method of plot exposition developing when watching them.

again. It it about Manga Force edition? I do not live in UK so the shipping would cost too much for me to buy from your online shops. In my country there is no way to buy GitS cous it was out of stores after a few days and publisher annouced thet there will be no re-release. As for the screen I would appriciate opinions of those who posses something like sony 40w4000.

What county are you living in exactly?

I have seen the Manga Force version as a friend of mine has it, it still looks fine.

GITS

In Poland. It's in Central Europe. Lucky me dvd are also region 2 so there won't be a need to use dvd shrink soft.
But let me remind you my primary question: what is the quality of video and japanese audio of Manga Force edition of Ghost in the shell on fullhd screen:)

only if you ask politely, mate ;)

Anyway, I don't own this DVD's. I have the original manga release and for those, the quality is good. Bear in mind the original anime film is a bit old, so maybe someone more picky would complain of it.

When I read my post again it really looked quite impolite. Sorry, it wasn't my intention, it just turned out to look like this:( - it's an effect of desperation. Anyway, if anybody on this forum were to own own this release I would probably already have my answer. So let's call this matter over. I won't bug the topic with my posts any more, instead simply wait:)

It'll be your sound system that matters, not the screen ;)
