Manga confirm 26th Dec for Darker than Black 2 and more!

It's not your responsbility to remain loyal to a company, a market or a region. It's the company's responsibility to tempt you as a consumer to buy their product through better value for money, quality product, or through good customer relations and service.

Heh.

Anyway, by supporting Funimation we're supporting the company who provides Manga with most of their titles. Soooo, in a roundabout way...

Regarding region locking, Manga have basically said that they have no choice but to lock all their BDs to region B, thus I can only assume it's a licensing stipulation.

Whilst true to a decent extent, it is not so clear cut imo. Sometimes a company needs a certain level of support and loyalty before they can provide things that the customers want.

Planetaxel has sent me an email saying Darker Than Black Season 2 is in the post - so much for the delay (I can only assume it had already been pressed up and that Japan wanted the delay to limit reverse importing but that some copies have already been sent to retailers).

I just made them rearrange all of my open orders to take into account the VAT cut off adjustment next month, so apologies for getting in first for the day and training them to think UK customers are annoying :D

(My DtB hasn't filled yet, but it's held up by something else either way.)

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

I'd forgotten about that. Although I think the largest number of items I have in a trsi order atm is four, which is still OK. Gonna stop me from ordering from DVD Pacific any more though, my great thanks go out to all those companies abusing the limit to sell stuff from the Channel Islands. :-/

trsi emailed me back to say that they are not expecting to ship DtB until November, so I just asked them to remove it from my order. Gives me an excuse to actually put my order in for Star Driver and Squid Girl pt2, anyway.

Gah. I ordered some stuff from Axel yesterday and would have added DtB2 if I'd known it was shipping. I didn't much fancy paying for it a month in advance.

The plot thickens, with rumours that the blu-ray is missing the subtitles entirely:

Perhaps this explains the delay (though not why mangaman74 managed to evade it)? It would not be implausible for retailers to have received the first batch in late September with a recall to follow that. Perhaps relatedly, the LE seems to be on the verge of selling out.

Another question about the subs... will they be of any use? I ask as I have come across many Manga Ent titles that say they have subtitles for the Japanese language, but instead they were the dubtitles for the English audio, so of no worth when watching the Japanese, eg Golgo 13!
