I've never gotten the hate for the AnimeLeague thing (And I've read the ED page for the guy that runs it), and I was just wondering; Why is the whole AnimeLeague thing and the Mike Towers guy so hated within the whole UK anime community?
 
Truth be told I've never heard of AnimeLeague, and why should I? I'm happy here. So mikes considered a twat, there's plenty others just like him (especially with style like that). Though it's quite late to note it down, it's a bit false advertisement when it says "Exclusive Voice-Over Guest" and all they have is Harry Partridge

Apparently he started advertising it at MCM and crap. Seems like a dick move to me.

Hmm, I am also not so familiar with that, are there any more interesting details than in your post above? Advertising your **** at a big Expo doesn't seem like the lowest of the low to me.

So my cunning plan involves moonlighting on another person site by helping out posting News & Upcoming Anime releases for several years and accumulating over 1000 posts. So I can post occasionally about Alcon based events which I would be able to do anyway by simply being forum member. :roll: :wink:
 
Otaku-san, Neferpitou, stop bickering over who's who on this board and talk about the bloody convention already. I want to know how supposedly terrible it is. That's if anyone here has gone to this convention.

Keeping with the feel of how the the topic is going so far, are you my and Otaku-san shared parent? Seems that way with how you are scolding us both. I take it no Disney Land this year :cry: :wink:.

These conventions can't surely be that bad, otherwise they wouldn't be several of them running each year? It would be nice to hear an honest opinion about these events, instead of all the allegation and name calling over a person involved with these events.

Yeah, that why you replied to it with your own quip then ;). If you Don't like the remark, then don't get involved by butting in with an air of superiority. If someone made silly claims that you were a certain controversial figure, you would at least would want to reply with how silly a suggestion it was.

It makes me wonder why I bother to put the effort into post News, when I get such inane and confrontational responses.
