Licence wish list

I am sure that Viz have already got something covered as regards Zettai Shounen (possibly lookup Absolute Boyfriend as its English language title).

Its not the same thing unfortunately, Zettai Shonen is a mystery type series with science fiction elements, I think Absolute Boyfriend is just some shoujo manga.

Black lagoon has been licensed vol 1 is out in the us. I do wish Sony would hurry up and release blood+ on dvd. Other than that

Kemonozume
Code geass
Claymore
Mind game

Sadly true. It would be awesome if Zettai Shounen was licensed though. No market for it, but hey.

Other stuff I'd like licensed?

Legend of the Galactic Heroes
Maria-sama ga Miteru
Mind Game
Ghost Hunt

Heh, that list is a lot shorter than it used to be...

*.... wanders over from the Beez forum*

Hi guys!

Just thought I'd come over and echo hopeful_monster's plea's to get you posting on the Beez forum :)

You've come up with some really great feedback and suggestions on this thread so far, and I know Andrew over at Beez would be delighted to hear what you have to say.

If your a bit worried about posting on a distro forum, don't be too afraid, there are restrictions on talking about fansub, but as I understand it that is pretty much limited to a ban on talk about fansub groups and sourcing it.
Don't mention the "F" word and just discuss the series themselves; that's the kind of info Andrew is after!

This really is the anime communities chance to give feedback the the distros on what we want to watch. They are ready and willing to listen, but we need to talk!

oh, while I'm here, gratz to animeUKnews in general, your a great source of news for the UK anime community, and I like to quote you on our soc news boards often :)
Keep up the good work!

*goes back to lurking....*

I want to see Lucky Star and Sgt Frog in the UK. And the Kanon remake (if only for Ayu's "uguu").

But that would mean they would have to dub Ayu and there is no way another other VA can pull off an Uguu as good as the Japanese one.

Hmmmmm...... you've got a very good point there!

I'm for a Code Geass license and Claymore, specially if they have artboxes of a sort. And Darker than Black as well, almost forgot that. a European release of Black Lagoon would be great, but i don't mind since i am gettin the US ones.

Sgt. Frog's already licensed over here. ADV have it.

Once it starts getting released in America we shouldn't be too far behind at all. (gotta wait for them to finish the dubbing I guess)

Is this supposed to be a wish-list specifically for Beez to licence, or anime to be licenced to reach these shores in general? (There are plenty of anime series which have crossed the Pacific but show no sign of legitimately crossing the Atlantic.)

On this thread anything goes, on the Beez thread while it would probably be better to suggest ones Beez are more likely to accept (but i'd put everything down just in case).
