I am even sadder - I can remember when Channel 4 had an anime season in the mid 1990s (also BBC2 showed Akira and The Wings of Honneamise).

i remember the fist of the north star was on channel 4 once
at the beginning i used to watch anime for the violence on sci-fi, then there was pokemon, dragonball z, yugioh, tenchi muyo, ect i would watch these sort of animes for action. and then i stopped and watched other animes and took my time to look at the beauty of the art work, character development, the music, the colours and the most important thing ......., the storys. i get so existed when im going to watch a new series each week. im glad they dont over use them like superman, star trek, batman, ect. not for getting the fan services i enjoy
