I plan to see this soon, but is it like a typical teenage comedy or some kind of girly movie

Yes its just a teen comedy, bunch of girls humiliate one guy by getting new girl to fake date him but they fall in love, he finds out about the set up, they break up, realise how they feel about it make up kiss and the movie ends

When I heard the title I thought it was some arthousey phsycological thing.

Now I've seen the trailer and I'm staying away from it.
