Ideas for anime that don't yet exist but should

I'm sure we must have had one of these threads before, but I can't find it so thought I'd start a new one. What anime haven't been made yet that you really want to be made, or that you just think seem like they should exist even though they don't. I'll get the ball rolling with this, although it's possible it has already been made and it's just my patchy anime knowledge making a fool of me! But I can't believe we haven't seemed to have had a fully fledged BL historical anime based around a fictionalised account of William Shakespeare's rumoured love for the Earl of Southampton. I really can't believe it hasn't been made. It could be campy and silly or it could be serious and understated, either way it'd probably be great. I feel like the only reason it hasn't happened yet is because anime studios are afraid to make a man with Willie's hairline the star of a new show.

The historical fiction genre is definitely not afraid of unusual hairlines with all of the tonsured monks and topknotted samurai, so Willie is still in with a chance!

I think all niche sports should get the Birdie Wing treatment and be depicted in the most ludicrously melodramatic way possible. I would definitely watch a full season of the snooker mafia trading trick shots and weird interpersonal relationships as they work their way up the rankings.

I've just thought of a really obvious one that I can't believe hasn't been made. A proper Harajuku fashion themed anime. Why the hell hasn't this been made yet? It'd be a smash, nostalgia for all kinds of 90s Harajuku/Japanese subcultural fashion in general has basically been mainstream for years now. Indeed the peak of the obsession with it has probably passed now, but it's a timeless and perennially popular subject, it has a special place in so many people's hearts including my own. And I mean this could be several different shows at least, it doesn't describe just one story. There's so many different scenes and so many different eras, the 80s, 90 and 00s would particularly be great period settings. And it's all about music as much as it is clothes. You've got all the more cute colourful decora or lolita stuff that I guess would be a lot of people's first mental image when they think of Harajuku. But then you've got the whole "ura-hara" thing. And I couldn't really tell you what the hell ura-hara is actually all about except Hirsoshi Fujiwara seems to pretty much be the definition, and a lot of men love it (even William Gibson fantasizes about being Fujiwara). So all of this Harajuku stuff is really one of Japan's biggest cultural exports, the young and the old are really into it. So why haven't they turned any of this coolness into anime? I'd particularly like an earnest slightly realistic take on this stuff, which could really geek out on references and dig beneath the surface of these subcultures.

It will come as no surprise to anyone here
That I love, endorse and approve of this idea :p

(Keep Gwen Stefani away from it tho)

Harajuku... themed anime
Boom:
Maybe not fashion (not from the synopsis anyway, I only watched episode 1 and that was nearly 8! years ago) themed, but certainly a Harajuku setting. The very first season I dabbled in watching seasonal stuff, Crunchyroll ran a promotion where you had to watch episode 1 of a bunch of shows. Looking at MAL I only watched one till the end, the rest including this I dropped. It was a bit too wacky for me, seems it wasn't too popular with MAL users either with a 5.8 score.

Hmm interesting, I take it the Scoopers invading aliens thing is a pretty obvious commentary on cultural appropriation or commercialisation or something? I might check it out. It's not really what I was envisioning or was hankering after though. I guess I wanted something deeper and more geeky in the sense of it really being steeped in the favour and details and the history of one of the scenes that really emerged from the place.
