I still like Anime, but...

I wish they had put the end of X-Men Evolution out on DVD as I've never see those episodes (and while they are at it, would it kill someone to make the end of Gargoyles available for purchase?). Wolverine and the X-Men sort of irritated me at times; the dodgy Silver Samurai episode and the melodramatic one with the pet sentinel in particular. When it was good, it was great, but when it was bad it was incredibly grating. I'd like to see another more general X-Men series get going again one day.

At the moment I'm only really looking forward to the DVDs for Korra from the western animation side. The style of humour used in western cartoons doesn't work for me at all, so it's the series with a slightly more serious setting which get me interested. I wonder what the next series to pop up and surprise me will be.

I would love it if this happened. I fell in love with that show when I was younger, I think when it started airing on CITV. Actually that channel had a few good shows on it, like Reboot, and Beast Wars.

When I said "The Anime Fandom usually drills into the head that Cartoon sucks", I meant from the majority of the anime community on the internet. You know, places like MAL and such. I don't get it from here.

If you want another western animation that's more 'serious', I do recommend Tron: Uprising wholeheartedly, especially if you enjoy Tron: Legacy. It has Elijah Wood and the original Tron actor in it. The animation style takes a while to get used to, but I think it suits the series very well.

I keep looking on the sky guide to see if that's coming over here or not. If it does I'm series linking it, Tron is one of my favourite movies :)

Not exactly recent, but I've always thought Monkey Dust is a great example of what Western animation can produce when it aims towards a more mature audience.
