how to save money for anime stuff

I'm contantly aware of how much eating and sleeping are huge wastes of an already finite lifespan. If I could plug myself into an electrical socket for a few hours a day and do without either, I would in an instant.
are you a mech fan?

I gotta say animefreak, this thread is pretty unnecessary for 3 reasons:

1. Anime is expensive, by being fans of anime, we are aware of this and tend to shop around as much as possible for the cheapest deal
2. A good few of us are in our 20s thus money is fairly tight anyways (especially for students) so even without anime we'd be watching our weight monetarilly speaking.
3. ...ok I guess that was it, but they're two very valid points.

Also sometimes I don't mind paying a little bit extra as I know it'll go to supporting the UK anime industry (though there are limits of course).

"Do I have to beat it into every one of you?! Basics!!!"

I demand this be your new avatar. I have spoken.... of sorts.

Oh, I just realised something that should be a top tip..

Sell your unwanted crap at CeX!!

Seriously, I just worked out how much I would get for a bunch of Naruto, Bleach and South Park boxsets. £80 exchange or £60 cash.

Plus, cex has a dedicated anime section!

Would be a top tip if they gave you any more than 50p for a DVD and you didn't die of old age while standing in the queue.

Oh, for movies, you won't get much. For boxsets or videogames, you'll get a decent amount.

hey hasn't video games, yugioh, pokemon games. watching the first few episodes of duel master, any anime that starts with a main character (goku, naruto, ichigo, luffy ect) or from the first series of battle vixens teached you guys anything.
always start at the basics and work your self from the bottom up to get better. its better to start with basics then leaning something hard right off the bat.

its like a video game you have
easy
medium
hard
very hard
for beginner you start with either easy or medium
and when you've got more experience on easy then medium you can play hard

understand the basics are important

Just putting this back out in the public again because I didn't catch it the first time.
