Ok, but then why do they need to have it unopened. Is it some kind of baffling neurotic disorder, where they can't have anything second hand?

I thought I just said why? =S Some games, or indeed anything, which becomes rare may increase in value, especially new (just look at some of the prices for new out of print anime for example) so I guess their theory is eventually all games will be rare at some point... it's still dumb though.

I've always been of the mentality that things should be used for what they were made for, not left in boxes. (or at least not SEALED in them, DVDs and games obviously need to be in boxes, or a CD wallet if you're some kind of heathen =P

:? I'm still somewhat confused to be honest. I just don't get why they would want the games unopened, evidently its to form some kind of collection but still its baffling. I mean at least with those star wars toys they usually came in a box that they could proudly display if they wanted to, but an unopened game looks pretty much the same as a game thats been opened before. Do they also collect unopened CDs and DVDs which they plan to never open? :?

Keeping Games and CDs sealed makes no sense, like sparrow said, they're meant to be used, so why a sealed copy of Super Mario Bros can sell for over a grand baffles me.

OT: I'm not overly fussy with what order my DVDs are in, the same with my Anime as I don't have an awful lot of it, Manga I like to have in volume order naturally, and my CDs are a different beast entirely, they are arranged to be in some sort of rough Alphabetical order (If I have say Bolt Thrower, Black Sabbath and Bullet For My Valentine for example, I don't mind what order they're in) and within each artist I arrange it into studio albums, complimation albums and live albums, and then within that chronological order as well.
