Manga-ka Junjo Ito (Tomie, Spiral) is no stranger to having his weird fiction work adapted what with the numerous Tomie and Uzumaki live-action films and now Ito’s manga Gyo is the latest to get an adaptation. In preparation for the anime’s premiere a four minute trailer was released. Wor of warning - contains so many spoilers.

Directed by Takayuki Hirao (Kara no Kyoukai: Garden of Sinners) and produced by anime studio Ufotable (Kara no Kyoukai, Coyote Ragtime Show) the story conerns a young couple visiting Okinawa and its beautiful beaches when they find themselves caught in the middle of a land invasion by dead fish.

The anime gets a release on the 15th of February.

I wasn't meaning fish to eat, but fish to disembowel... I know a bunch of people that would be happy to be in a similar situation and use their kitchen knives.

so disappointing.
the graphic style is boring and sterile, not to mention the cheap CGI. and why the hell did they have to throw in this silly ecchi crap. :evil:
