Following on from my Robotech DVD Boxsets question: I am also looking to buy a complete Gundam Wing DVD Boxset. so far I have found two:

The complete series:

And the complete Series plus the Endless Waltz movie.

So I wonder if buying the boxset with the extra Endless Waltz Movie is worth the extra £4.69?

Also, does anyone know where else online, one can buy these COMPLETE Gundam Wing Region 2 Boxsets? I can't find them anywhere, despite my searches. :o( :?

I don't think that there was an english region 2 Gundam Wing complete release, i know of the jp Gundam Wing R2 release and the R1 complete Gundam Wing (Minus Endless Waltz i think). I would of loved for a boxed set to come out, save me buying all the individual volumes like i had to :(

I would say that Endless Waltz is worth the extra money, just for the gundam designs alone :D

Becareful of buying off ebay, there is a lot of Region 0 bootlegs going around, of course there is also some genuine Region 1's as well if you deicide to go that route

i can instantley confirm that both of these are bootlegs.

if you want an official gundam wing boxset the only one available are the Region 1 dvd sets.
Gundam Wing Collection 1
Gundam Wing Collection 2

these are old and may be hard to get ahold of now....UNITED PUBLICATIONS have listed them in stock but the long availability time may suggest that it is out of stock.

Yes, they're both bootlegs, the way to tell is the 'all region' region coding. The only company ever to have released region free anime in English is Central Park Media, and they don't have the rights to Gundam.

There is no R2 Gundam Wing set, Beez released five two disc sets but thats it. Your only alternative is to buy the United Publications links that Ninja Boy listed to. Both sets are widely available, but as United Publications rarely keeps stock of older releases (especially box sets), they have to be backordered from the manufacturer hence the long delivery time.

Thanks for the help guys. :)

I'm afraid this leaves me in a rather ironic position. I can not play Region 1 DVDs and so if the Gundam Wing boxsets have never been released on Region 2, then it looks like my only remaining option is to go with 'Any Region' DVDs..... but this means buying bootlegs, which is a bit rubbish really.

I am though slightly confused: How can these be bootlegs when (with particular reference to the first DVD boxset shown) the box is apparently 'sealed' with a 'Government Hologram Sticker'?

well then those dvd's could be from Malaysia...almost every dvd released on the market..even bootlegs in malaysia have those official goverment stickers. i dont think the goverment in malaysia actualy inspects the dvd's to whom they are sending the stickers too.
i remember going to malaysia few months ago, and there are MILLIONS of bootlegs with those stickers on.
so its hard to tell which is an official malaysian release and which isnt.
i purchased 3 Dragonball boxsets which had the same stickers on from there.

in short...if you want to own the official product then search around for the Region 1 boxsets that i linked you to.
Support the industry!!!

(im not sure if i can post this, so if a mod wants to delete please do)

There is a video program for PC that breaks regional dvds. Check out VLC, it will allow you to play any region DVDs without having to play with your pc's regional settings.
