Trailer
Decided to start a new thread as I have some info and plot details about the game, so here goes:
The main character is Niko Bellic (guy in the trailer), he's from Eastern Europe and comes to Liberty City after recieving emails from his cousin telling what a huge success he is. When Nico arrives he finds his cousin in debt and barely making any money running a failing Taxi Cab Company. Niko hasn't just left Eastern Europe to make it in the US, he is running from something back home although what this is has yet to be revealed.
Libery City is based on New York in 2007 - and is comprised of the four boroughs of Broker (Brooklyn), Algonquin (Manhattan), Dukes (Queens), and Bohan (The Bronx). The size of the City isn't as large as San Andreas but has far less wasted open spaces. Pedestrians also behave differently depending on the environment they are in. They'll also be spending time doing things other than walking around. Now they sit, smoke, hang out as couples, read.
Techy Stuf - The BEST bit - No load screens, once the game has loaded up there won't be any more ingame load screens even when entering and exiting buildings.
The character physics have been improved as well so now they shift there weight and changethere posture depending on the terrain.
Graphically, GTA IV is a huge leap forward, a lot of attention has been paid to lighting, shades and building textures to ensure the city feels different as the 24hour clock ticks by.
Gameplay - Niko has a mobile phone, that when accessed bring up various functions including messages, phonebook, camera and organiser. This allows Niko to look for jobs rather than waiting to be given missions. The player will also have greater choice of how the missions are created which will allow the plot to go in different directions.
No actors have been attached to GTA IV yet as Rockstar has said they won't be signing big names instead they will be looking for voices to suit each of the characters.
PS3 & XBOX360 - Both versions will be identical and have additonal downloadable content available online.
