I have been watching this since it started and I have to say wow, I have been really impressed by the way that they have translated the manga over to the anime. Although certain parts have hadto be removed for time restrictions the major parts of the books have been left in relatively untouched.
One my fave episodes is Episode 4 - I was particularly pleased when they made a whole episode about Souichiro Tanaka and Kanako Ohno's budding relationship rather than making it a side story. For the fans this isa brilliant treat as from day one you can see there is a special connection between them brought about by there love of Cosplay.
I am also loving the way they are playing with the feelings of Chika Ogiue and Kanji Sasahara making them quiet around each other showing how Ogiue tries to get closer to Sasahara by offering her help writing there Doujinshi but still playing down the offer so as not to show any feelings. Bring on the future episodes as I cannot wait to see whether there relationship will follow the manga course or whether the anime will take it somewhere different.
The only downside I am finding to the anime is that during the Douginshi storyline quiet and stuttering Mitsunori Kugayama is painted as a bit of a... well b'stard (sorry but he really is), because he imposesso many restrictions of what he is willing to draw while still saying whatever they wanna see is fine, plus he is the only group member currently job hunting so his time can't be monopolised by the manga book. I kinda feel sorry for his character really as it felt like he was being misrepresented.
Funniest bit of the series so far has to be in Episode 3 where Makoto Kousaka (the only non-stereotyped Otaku in the group) comes up with a novel way to sell there books.... I won't spoilor spoiler this bit as it is one of those things everyone should go into blind as it is one of those scenes you just have to laugh smile and chat to others about.
