Otaku girlfriend would rule, or just a girlfriend that doesnt mind watching anime would be good. Instead of watching anime by myself, could sit and watch it with her heh.

I am a big fan of the first season, but as I don't do fansubs (can't anyway need new imac mine too old to run required software) I will have to wait until the DVD release for second season. Although as I have yet to buy the manga I should get hold of that and amuse myself in the meantime.

I never saw the first season, but watching this one I still really liked it. Not as dark as Welcome to the NHK maybe, but still a ton of fun.

The manga is really worth buying, the story is pretty much exactly the same as the anime but carries on after season 2, also its only 9 volumes so not a huge series to collect.

So as we are all here and possibly are considered otaku who do you feel most represents your otaku style from the series.

I think my manga and anime addiction is not that extreme (I could give it all up honest :wink: ) and my tastes are pretty varied so I consider my self most like Kanji Sasahara.

Although I have not cosplayed I used to LARP and made weapons and kit so there could be a bit of Souichirou Tanaka in me, but I don't really make models I buy figures (although mainly Buffy and US comic related not anime).

You mean, Makoto Kousaka, I would love to consider myself the same as Kousaka but I don't even have close to his amount of porn games. Although my girlfriend does look at anime and manga the same way Saki Kasukabe does.

I just love how the girls all fawn after Kousaka because he is good looking, but everthing changes when they realise he is otaku. Probably many women in real life had that experience with Beckham, he opend his mouth and the illusion was shattered.

It's funny what McIcy said about being like Kousaka and Sasahara. I found that I shared uncanny characteristics of several characters (excluding Kuchiki, I'm not that much of a nutter), guess it shows me up as complete nerd :lol:
