Just thought i'd make a thread that people could disscuss christmas presents their expecting, be that hoping for or actually knowing what your getting. or what your hoping for.


For me;

i know i'll have christmas socks and assassins creed brotherhood.

i hope I'll get the ricky gervais science stand up dvd, cod black ops. not sure what else i'll get though. everyones keeping their presents pretty close to their chest this year.
 
Iphone 4 this christmas, which I can't wait for since I'm still using my girlfriends old phone (nothing against this one like incase you're reading this :p)

For other people, I've got a Konan plushy, Berserk Boxset which I REALLY want to keept for myself, a Steampunk-ish coat and a Kings of Leon album. I'll have to get around to doing some more christmas shopping next week

i'm hoping for an android htc. my samsung tocco extra or whatever it was, the sliding one broke... cba to go get it fixed as i'l have to pay because the screens smashed.... so far the samsung e900 has served as a great little back up fone.
 
Erm, i'm too old to expect expensive presents off family this christmas (24) especially as there are two young nieces who get all the attention lol, and unfortunately i'm single this year so there aren't any good girlfriend presents to be had =[ but I know a few things i'll be definitely getting god knows what else i'll get though;

1) The Pacific Blu-Ray
2) Battle Royale LE Blu Ray Set
3) A nice new Winter Coat

God, I wish I was a teenager again!!
 
I've asked for a Perfect Blue DVD from my little brother and the recent Kamelot album, Poetry For the Poisoned, from my big brother.

I'm predicting money (dad), clothes, socks, underwear (mum), toiletries (grandparents), money/chocolate (aunt).

I'm 24 too. While I do enjoy Christmas, I'm not so bothered about presents. I look forward to just being at home and getting well fed, especially on Chistmas Day. Every year presents become less exciting.
 
Thankfully I'm one of those lucky few who have a birthday right before xmas...yet far enough away from it to avoid having doubled up presents.

Birthday gifts i know i'm getting (thanks to some blunders and situlations.
Raging Blast 2 off a Mate,
and a game gear off my missus (may not sound a lot to anyone else here but i love retro consoles) God knows though what i'm getting off anyone else. Probably chocolates from my nieces though.

Christmas.

Hard to say, the missus has been quite secretive, last year she got me a dreamcast and i know this year's has come from ebay...
I'm also hoping for things like Robot Chicken S3 -4, the new Blazblue game, and just a few books here and there. My want lists shrink year after year.
 
I don't really want anything. I generally get money and spend it over the course of the following few months, same with birthday. I like the spirit and magic of the holiday (even though I haven't had it, ever) so yeah, it'll be enjoyable.

(Idc about xmas, and haven't since my Action Men faze passed. It's just a day celebrated by people because they believe it's a requirement for normal life.)

Assassins Creed Brotherhood.

I guess I wouldn't mind a few DVD's, but doubt they'll be there xD (The GazettE's "Nameless Liberty.Six Guns, and Dir en Grey's Blitz 5 Days).

I really couldn't care less about christmas this year. January exams seem too pressing >.<
 
After the others continue to pester me about it, my 3-item list (my wants) became this:
Skillet - Awake album
Disturbed - Asylum album
Pokemon (either) Heart Gold/Soul Silver
Baileys irish cream
Sake
.hack//G.U.+ manga (vol 2 or above)
Witchblade dvds (vol 5/6)
Dead Rising (1+2)

I only had the albums and Pokemon listed as they're easy to find in stores... I'd like to know how hard it'd for non-fans to be able to find .hack or Witchblade. (Bare in mind that they are quite old too...)

Surely a man of your means is able to budget for an artificial vagina (Hell, you can get some pretty high-end ones for £50-£60. You wouldn't get much of a hooker for that price). Plus, would you really want to receive one as a present? Think about the kind of sentiment which would go into giving someone a sex toy... Pity and ridicule are the only reasons I can think of. Even if it was from a lover it would still be quite insulting. "I know I have the real thing but here, have this price of rubber to f*ck instead".

I don't give a **** about the occasion or the presents, few of which I'll be receiving (and even fewer of which I'll actually want). The things I look forward to now are not having to work, and getting pissed out of my head with family members whose company I actually enjoy. That it's an opportunity to get away from (and forget) the mundanity of my everyday life is reason enough for me to enjoy Christmas.
 
I hate the the card giving tradition. Such ********. I hate it for birthdays, for holidays, for -- okay, I see a point in sickness, but I hate it for things that happen every year.

Apparently there's no difference between the two though you'll probably get more apps with the iPhone. That and I'll probably be ripped off by Apple at some point, seems to happen to everyone else :p
