Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma Gets 2nd Season

The cover for the second 2016 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has revealed that Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki's Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma manga will get a second season, the magazine is scheduled to be made available on Monday. The first 2016 issue mentioned that the series would have an "important announcement" in the next issue. This announcement also celebrates the third anniversary of the manga's launch.

In addition Weekly Shonen Jump also revealed that the event anime special focusing on the Aldini brothers will get a DVD release with special editions of Volume 18 of the manga due May 2. Pre-orders for the special edition end on February 29.

If they ever do one of those various anime character fighting games again, I'd be all for Soma as a playable character with (best girl) Megumi as support.

Great news! We're 9 episodes into the first season and are loving it. It's great fun honestly, so will definitely be looking to watch the second season when it hits too
