Favourite Seiyu / VAs

Definitely Masako Nozawa, the best Son Goku ever.

And Ryo Horikawa, his voice is ridiculously good but he's not in much any more other than DBKai.

OH YEAH, Norio Wakamoto too, not just because he's Cell, but because he's in plenty of my favourite series and Engrishes everything up.

Ikue Otani deserves some love too, she's Pikachu, Tony Tony Chopper and Gash/Zatch.

My favourite English voice actors are probably Richard Epcar or Chuck Huber.

Nobuyuki Hiyama is still my favourite, particularly when he yells. Sounds like a maniac when he does, but it doesn't half feel cathartic. It's exhilarating.

I dunno why, but Masaya Onosaka as Vash the Stampede always puts a smile on my face, especially when he's doing his goody likeable thing.

He uses a similar voice in Baccano as Isaac Dian, and he's definitely the funniest thing about that show.

Agreed, love that guy. I also like Keiji Fujiwara playing bad guys (Ali Al Saachez in Gundam 00, the guy in Baccano whose name I forget)

I have to say, I do like quite a lot of dub actors, but I feel it's generally the female seiyus who let down dubs, like Code Geass for example. I still prefer the Japanese dub anyway, but for the most part JYB, Crispin Freeman, Yuri Lowenthal etc all put in good performances, but I really do;n't like any of the 3 main girls' voices.

Seiyu:

Mamoru Miyano - Setsuna F. Seiei (Gundam 00), Death the Kid (Soul Eater), Ling Yao (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood) and Dent (Pokémon Best Wishes).

Shin-ichiro Miki - Lockon Stratos (Gundam 00), Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood), Kisuke Urahara (Bleach) and James (Pokémon)

Hiroyuki Yoshino - Deserves a mention for playing an epic Solf J. Kimblee in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Funnily enough, like my previous two, he played a Gundam Meister in Gundam 00 - Allelujah Haptism. Also, Takumi on Chaos;Head...what a voice range 0.0

Voice Actors:

Steven Blum - Spike Spiegal (Cowboy Bebop) and Orochimaru (Naruto).

Crispin Freeman - Need I say more?

Wendee Lee - Okay, Haruhi. But...Twilight Suzuka! And the Fembots in Austin Powers?!

Jay Hickman - Mechazawa in Cromartie High School. Seriously, epic epic voice.

There are lots of Japanese seiyuu I am fond of, but for English the cream of the crop has to be Crispin Freeman and Mary Elizabeth McGlyn. I've still not got around to listening to the Japanese dub for Stand Alone Complex - the English version is that good.

Some good choices on here so far. Here are some of mine,

Erino Hazuki (Akari Mizunashi in Aria, Kluke in Blue Dragon, Maki Natsuru in Maria Holic, Erino Kogarashi in Seven of Seven)

Chiwa Saito (Aika S. Granzchesta in Aria, Carol in Baccano, Natsumi Hinata in Sgt Frog, Melissa in GunxSword, Kosuna in Desert Punk, Lavie Head in Last Exile, Louise Halevy in Mobile Suite Gundam 00, Anita King in R.O.D. TV)

Ryou Hirohashi (Alice Carroll in Aria, Chane Laforet in Baccano, Kyou Fujibayashi in Clannad, Rakka in Haibane Renmei, Sora Naegino in Kaleido Star, Asuka Sakino in KimiKiss Rouge, Koyuki Azumaya in Sgt Frog, Anya in Negima, Antonio in Romeo x Juliet, Integra Martel in Solty Rei, Rinna Kazamatsuri in Stellvia)

It's great to see so many talented VAs getting props here.

Richard Epcar, eh? That guy is freakin' VA ROYALTY! I love it when he shows up in a dub - he's a very reassuring presence. He'll always be batou to me, though.

Christopher Sabat has become a real favourite of mine just lately, too. Loved his turn as Kikuchiyo in Samurai 7.

Seems a shame how some VAs seem to float away from the biz, or reduce their activity. I'd love to hear more Cam Clarke in anime dubs (he is the one true Kaneda!) and there's a few folks who got their start with ADV who don't seem to do much now(but really should). Is Hilary Haag still cropping up in dubs? I think she's brilliant.

He's in the pilot episode of Street Hawk. He's one of the cops betting on whether Jesse can jump a bike over a bunch of squad cars at the start of the episode.

Yup yup. He crops up on US TV quite a bit. Even spotted him on 'Diagnosis: Murder' at my Grandma's once.

He also has a role as one of Sam Neill's stooges in 'Memoirs Of An Invisible Man'.
