Eureka Seven box set 2 problem

Blade678

Brigade Leader
I got this the other day and got to episode 29 to find that the English dub is out of sync with the animation. Normally I would just think I got a dodgy copy but seeing as I've had many problems with Beez discs before I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or if any other episodes had problems.

This is a known problem. Here's what the Beez rep said about it a couple of months back.

They should be fixed by now, I insisted the new line get corrected anyway so if they haven't I shall be very angry to say the least with production...

So there should be fixed versions out there. This is exactly why I decided against buying the UK Eureka Seven box sets and avoid Beez releases in general. Their quality control (or lack thereof) leaves a lot to be desired.

I know that and I normally avoid Beez as well because about every other DVD I have gotten off of them is faulty in some way but I really wanted Eureka Seven because it's one of my favourites.

I'm surprised by that claim. I've got nothing, but joy from my Beez dvds and I've got plenty of stuff from them to think that I have a significant sample of their quality.

Their packaging and their special editions really pleases me and i'm sure to continue supporting them, provided they keep this up.

What else from Beez have you had issues with?

It's unfortunate that some of the boxsets at least are facing this problem and I can only apologize profusely for it. I'll look at having some fixed copies sent to me so I can arrange a replacement.

FabricatedLunatic: It's unfortunate you feel that way - we did have a stint during the E7-My HiME run where there were a series of factory concerns. Due to my not being in the Paris office a great deal of the time I've been unable to proof a lot of those products however I can assure you everything beyond them (Gurren Lagann, Gundam 00, Gunbuster 2 etc) are the highest quality now both due to changes in replicators and I am personally proofing a lot of these now in my personal time.

So hopefully you'll have a chance to try some Beez products in the new line such as Gurren Lagann, Gundam 00, Code Geass and Sword of the Stranger. Many of which not only build on the US structure of release but improve on it in terms of included extras and quality of releases (take Gurren Lagann for example)!

All the best either way and I'll be back with you on the E7 sets as soon as I find out what's happened.

I support this opinion. I guess it depends on which DVD's you've collected. None of my Beez DVD's have any issues either, but then I passed some Beez releases up for imports because of price discrepancy. A couple of which I'm not sure were wise - while you're here Andrew, does your Gundam F91 release suffer from the same poor quality letterboxed picture as the R1 Bandai disc? If not I might be tempted to replace it. I'd be even more tempted by blu-ray's of this and Char's Counterattack like the ones released in Japan though. ;)

Your release of Gunbuster 2 is missing subtitles for some on screen text and, much more disappointingly, an important line of dialogue in the final scene. In the interest of fairness, though, I will say that I had no issues with your Fantastic Children release.

I'm sending my boxset back to Play to get it replaced so hopefully the new one won't have the audio problem or any other problems on later discs.

I am sorry to hear that for Gunbuster 2 then, particularly as I was under the impression any problems had been fixed since they were flagged to the manufacturer.

Beyond that though you'l find the new releases coming are proofed though so hope you have a chance to enjoy them sometime :).

Hi Andrew you know you said some of the boxsets were fault I was wondering if this was a rare problem with the disc or if it was most if not all of them. This is because I don’t want to have to get a replacement just to have the same thing happen again and need to send that back as well.

The Gundam Wing HD box set I own had graphical glitch that effected one frame of animation towards end of the first episode and again the same problem with a later episode around episode 25 mark. Nice collection and all, but error keep on cropping up which make me wary of order a beez title until I can see if no else has had errors on their order, especially when I can get the same series from bandai usa at lower cost and error free in box set form.
