Easter Eggs

Just out of curiousity, what eggs did you guys and girls get? Any strange/unexpected/abnormal eggs come your way?

I had 1 egg, it was a Cadburys cream egg with 2 smaller cream eggs with it, i would have had another egg but my girlfriend bought it for me and then ate it. (Usually i'd have 8 or 9 eggs....alas the older we get, our expectations dwindle.)

So go on then, what did you get?

For myself, I recieved a Twill egg with 3 bars inside (so did Ryo).
I gave the family some bars of chocolate (as they dont like eating lots of it), a Bailey's Irish Cream egg for one bro in law, and a selection box for the other and his GF (So they're not fighting over all of an egg, ;) )

Just the one really. Creme Edd one, with a pack of mini creme eggs and a mug. Pretty good i think. Oh yeah, the annual Lindt bunny too.

A small Cadbury's Buttons one, which I left next to me and melted into my jeans. I still have the buttons that were inside though. Also another small cheap one, but the chocolate in it isn't very nice.

I didn't get any eggs but I did get a box of chocolates and a bar of chocolate. "You get more chocolate in a bar then an egg", is the reason. The novelty of an egg would have been fun though.

I had a discounted "pork and egg slice" from Asda on the Saturday before.
(Their Crossharbour branch was slashing prices on everything fresh. I managed to obtain many a bargain.)
Alas, with my stomach it did not agree. Such an effect of my opportunism only lasted a mere half-hour, quite fortunately.

Today I received a single Thornton's coconut chocolate for handing in my presubmissions to the office, if that at all counts.

A solitary Cadbury's Cream Egg one (the same as Tachi's) from my mum. Everybody in my family seems to have sent me Easter cards this year which makes me feel a right bastard for not sending any myself.

Easter Cards? we celebrate Jesus's death now?
It does tend to be one of the central themes of Christianity, yes. Not that I or my immediate family are particularly religious, I think they just like chocolate, egg painting and pictures of fluffy chicks.

I feel really old now when Easter and Christmas come around because i no longer feel immensely excited when the day comes around. For instance this year i haven't even opened my Easter eggs yet and completely forgot they were there! In a way i suppose I'm savoring them but in the past i couldn't wait to rip the box open and gobble down half the egg in 30 seconds flat....

Maybe i should buy 'cooler' eggs than buttons and creme egg. The prettier packaging may entice me to eat more chocolate...

Wow I seemed to do well. Local market place was selling easter stuff dirt cheap so I have 2 "No box" eggs, and a Twirl one (Same as Chaz and Ryo with the 3 bars inside).

You say that now but when you finally go out to work your living these days are like gold.

The man speaks the truth, once your working; any day off is a good thing, so a long weekend is (excuse the pun) a godsend.

Easter isn't the best holiday, probably because no one can remember when it fecking is :p but...

1X Mars easter egg
1X Galaxy Caramel egg
1X Rolo Egg

And a box of cadburies cream eggs

Weird how I never feel like chocolate when I have it

he didn't die at Easter, he resurrected. We're celebrating the giving of live, not taking it away
